Police blotter: Woman reports attack by possibly rabid buck

Friday

7:58 a.m. — A caller from Silver Springs High School reported staff members had been assaulted.



8:01 a.m. — A man from the 800 block of West Main Street reported a vehicle theft. It was located and the suspect was arrested.

8:11 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of North Auburn Street reported a building was on fire; it was a false report.




9:40 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported finding methamphetamine.

11:53 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole a large sandwich and fled.

12:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Pine Street reported two men on bicycles buying drugs, who might have burglary tools.

12:33 p.m. — A man from Memorial Lane reported a possible fraud via Craigslist. He deposited a fraudulent check and spent about $800 of the money on “supplies.” The rest of the money was returned to the bank.

1:06 p.m. — A man from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported his house appeared to have been broken into.

1:29 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a vehicle break-in with a broken window and a purse missing.

4:20 p.m. — A woman from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported having been propositioned by a man in a vehicle that smelled like marijuana.

6:11 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man possible stole a bottle of alcohol.

6:19 p.m. — A caller form the 100 block of East McKnight Way reported a man possibly with a shotgun. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

7 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported a coming back to a vacant residence and finding the heater on, some clothing, a razor in the shower, and an open window. Extra patrols were requested,

10:29 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane filed an online burglary report.

10:33 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of South Auburn Street filed an online theft report.

10:35 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Freeman Lane filed an online theft report.

10:35 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Scotia Pines Circle filed an online theft report.

10:42 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a man in a truck dumping tires into the creek.

11:35 a.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported a scam call with a man saying he was from PG&E and their bill was overdue and needed to be paid immediately.

12:52 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a man dropped a bag of credit cards in front of a building.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Bennett streets reported an SUV high-centered in the road, that also sheared off a left turn sign.

6:04 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported the theft of an iPad from an unlocked vehicle.

6:56 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported the theft of a riding scooter.

8:39 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Allison Ranch Road reported the theft of a cell phone.

9:54 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a physical fight involving 10 to 15 people. The situation was mediated.

10:56 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of East Main Street reported giving a ride to a person from Auburn to Grass Valley, and the person stole his phone.

11:08 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of South School Street reported a neighbor drilled a hole in the wall between their apartments and put a pen in the hole.

6:03 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a woman making noise all night, walking around the complex naked, who had destroyed her room.

1:03 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Lakeshore South reported the theft of a golf cart.

1:12 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Perimeter Road reported a theft.

2:22 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Slow Poke Lane reported a girl broke windows and tried to assault staff members.

3:16 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Conestoga Avenue reported a fawn caught in a fence.

3:57 p.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Cottage Hill Drive reported a possible theft.

4:44 p.m. — A caller from red Dog and Murchie Mine roads reported a possibly drunken man throwing water bottles at objects.

4:48 p.m. — A caller from the 26000 block of Highway 49 reported vandalism to two residential windows.

6:10 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Lawrence Way reported a man head butted a woman; an emergency protective order was issued.

9:50 p.m. — A caller from Green Valley Road and Lakeshore South reported an accident with an overturned golf cart.

8:38 a.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported a woman hit another woman with a golf club. She had a head injury but declined medical attention.

10:45 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Rogue House Place reported a buck attacked her in the garage, causing cuts to her legs. It was foaming at the mouth.

1:37 p.m. — A caller from Larkspur Lane and McCourtney Road reported a loud explosion.

2:19 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Fairway Glen Place reported vandalism and the theft of mail from multiple mailboxes.

3:33 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Auburn Road reported two men stole mail.

4:20 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Spenceville Road reported a residential burglary with computers missing.

4:49 p.m. — A caller form the 18000 block of Mustang Valley Place reported an illegal debris burn.

5:01 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Golden Eagle Way reported three or four motorcycles on BLM land.

5:03 p.m. — A caller form Highway 20 and Scotts Flat Road reported a boulder in the middle of the highway.

6:03 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Sandpiper Way reported something really weird in the sky heading northwest.

7:14 p.m. — A caller form the 11000 block of Bluebird Court reported two men in a physical fight.

7:36 p.m. — A caller form Purdon Crossing reported an accident and a vehicle fire.

7:36 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Lodestar Drive reported hearing multiple gunshots; the person was scaring off a bear.

8:51 p.m. — A caller reported a person on the roof of the old Nevada City hospital.

9:28 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive reported a man pushed two women and possibly threw keys on top of a house before leaving. The situation was mediated.

10:15 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Dog Bar Road reported a man punched a woman; it was unfounded.

11:12 p.m. — A caller from valley Vista Way and Plateau Court reported a loud party.
