Police blotter: Woman reportedly breaking into vehicles arrested

Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

2:18 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifting suspect refusing to be taken into custody. A woman was caught shoplifting and stopped outside the store. She had been handcuffed and the stolen merchandise was retrieved from her purse. The woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.



2:38 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported finding a knife on the property.

2:41 p.m. — A caller from the library reported ongoing drug issues with a constant, heavy marijuana smoke smell and with people smoking in the bathroom the day before.




3:14 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported a man and a woman in a vehicle engaged in drug activity. They were asked to leave.

3:15 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland and Brunswick roads reported transients camping in the area.

4:45 p.m. — A woman reported a neighbor threatened to break her 6-year-old’s neck. A report was taken.

5:25 p.m. — A caller from South Auburn and Winchester streets reported finding a syringe in the grass.

5:40 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Clark Street reported the theft of an unloaded .45 handgun and stereo equipment from an unlocked vehicle.

5:54 p.m. — A man from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a woman tried to take a bag out of his vehicle. He got it back, but she might have taken his wallet. She then tried to get back into his vehicle, then got into a different vehicle and took a wallet and was walking away. She was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, possessing stolen property,possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

6:02 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported a man taking photos of children while they were playing.

6:03 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Maltman Drive reported a leaking nitrogen tank.

6:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mohawk Street reported a possible drug deal.

7:32 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a man sold drugs to a customer in the parking lot.

11:17 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported finding a cell phone possibly related to drug activity.

11:27 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a woman was very drunk and on drugs, and was driving.

11:34 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man trying to pick fights with bar patrons.

12:07 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a man stole numerous items from a store and left on foot.

8:21 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Tyler-Foote Crossing Road reported that a man yelled at him for not giving pedestrians the right of way, and then put a Taser in his face.

8:40 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a shop had been broken into.

8:52 a.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Oro Valley Road reported tenants who are being evicted were trying to cost the caller money by refusing to stop for Lake of the Pines security, which results in the homeowner getting fined.

9:20 a.m. — A caller reported a battery.

10:59 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of John Muir Lane reported the theft of mail.

11:06 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Skaith Bend reported the ongoing theft of mail.

12:20 p.m. — A caller from Bear River High School reported a stolen purse.

12:32 p.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Timber Ridge Drive reported a truck on fire.

12:37 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Caroline Way reported trespassing and unauthorized entry into a home.

12:59 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Slate Creek Road reported a theft.

1:24 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a burglary.

2:07 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Fay Road reported a theft.

2:07 p.m. — A caller from San Francisco and Flume streets reported a possible suicidal woman at a lookout.

3:05 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported impersonation.

4:55 p.m. — A woman from the 23000 block of Broadmoor Court reported a man in a golf cart and another man in a truck were chasing her.

5:50 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Travertine Court reported she was pushed by another woman.

6:45 p.m. — A caller from the emergency room reported a woman under the influence who had injuries not consistent with her story.

7:38 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Agnes Way reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole items including a laptop.

1:57 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a former employer made a fraudulent purchase on a credit card.
