Police blotter: Woman calls to report being really high, gets arrested

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

8:21 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Dorsey Drive reported a resident versus resident assault with no reported injuries.



9:18 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 1700 block of East Main Street reported a man and a woman sleeping in a vehicle that had been parked across several spaces, with beer bottles around. A woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.

10:08 a.m. — A caller from Dorsey Drive reported illegal dumping.




10:22 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Morgan Ranch Drive reported an unlocked vehicle was ransacked, with nothing taken.

11:01 a.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a woman came in tweaking and had drugs on her that needed to be picked up.

3:22 p.m. — A caller from Dow Alexander Park reported “dirtbag crackheads” were having a big party, and were possibly dealing drugs. At 4:22 p.m., a woman reported the park was overrun with transients who were cursing and smoking.

5:31 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported drug addicts.

5:38 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of East Main Street reported transients using electricity on the side of the building and defecating.

7 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of West Main Street reported a man broke down a door to get inside.

8:58 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a man in the middle of the baseball field, stripping. He was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and violating probation.

Monday

9:12 a.m. — A man from Lake of the Pines reported that he broke a case involving felony mailbox thefts; he also wanted to report other numerous crimes.

10:06 a.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Highway 20 reported a chimney fire.

12:09 p.m. — A caller from Lodestar Drive and Brewer Road reported vandalism to a park.

2:20 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Claim Jumper Lane reported a vehicle into a pond.

2:34 p.m. — A caller from Englebright Lake reported a dog versus dog attack.

3:52 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Mystic Mine Road reported the theft of jewelry from a purse.

10:49 p.m. — A caller reported a runaway girl camping out at Nevada Union High School. She could not be located. At 11:31 p.m., the girl was reported to have been in the parking lot. She was located and released to a parent.

11:53 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported a residential burglary.

Tuesday

1:10 a.m. — An alarm at a business in the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive was responded to, and a burglary report was taken.

3:28 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive reported “I don’t really have an emergency, but I am really high.” She was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Friday

2:20 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Spring Street reported illegal dumping.

9:49 p.m. — A caller from North Pine and Commercial streets reported a food truck selling tacos.

Saturday

9:26 a.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported vandalism to a door at the bandshell.

Sunday

1:38 a.m. — A caller reported a woman saying she was being held hostage at a party in the 200 block of Broad Street. She was found safe with friends.

Monday

1:57 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported people playing instruments and singing in the parking lot. They stopped for the night.

7:08 a.m. — A caller from Coyote Street reported camping transients.

10:27 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Uren Street reported a stolen vehicle, which was located that night on Nursery Street.

10:31 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Washington Street reported a vehicle theft. The vehicle was located in Modesto.

11:59 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Commercial Street reported a physical fight. Everyone was OK.

12:19 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Broad Street reported a man with a crowbar attacked a man on a bike. They then were reported fighting in the crosswalk, with one man hitting the other in the head with the crowbar. They could not be located.

1:25 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 300 block of Broad Street reported three people fighting in the parking lot. They then left. At 1:51 p.m., a caller reported more fighting with someone slamming a glass door into people. They were moving on and no charges were requested.

2:14 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported the same people were now in front of city hall, with one man reporting he had been assaulted. Two dogs were taken to Animal Control and two men were arrested. One was charged with being drunk in public and bringing alcohol into jail and the other was booked on charges of battery, being drunk in public and bringing alcohol into jail.

4:56 p.m. — A man from East Broad Street reported a man constantly threatens him and his wife, and just plucked the last rose in his garden. He could not be located.

6:08 p.m. — A vehicle stolen from Turlock was recovered on Coyote and Washington streets.
