Police blotter: Woman attacked by housecat

Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

8:08 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported the theft of tools from a vehicle.



8:50 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported transients living behind businesses.

10:45 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of North Auburn Street reported she was attacked by a housecat and had to fight it off.




10:47 a.m. — A caller from Mill Street and Freeman Lane reported a teen on a skateboard went over a 16-foot embankment.

1:48 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported vandalism to school vans.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man and a woman ripped out a demo phone from a display and fled on foot.

2:30 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Idaho-Maryland Road reported a man stole a Craftsman tool box from a vehicle and left in a truck.

3:09 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1300 block of East Main Street reported a man stole a computer bag with a cell phone and computer. He could not be located.

4:20 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way and Brunswick Road reported a drunken man picking fights and stumbling into traffic. He could not be located.

4:37 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sierra College Drive reported a man tried to break into a residence, then left.

5:59 p.m. — A caller reported a transient camp with people yelling obscenities. No one was located.

6:03 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported a stolen vehicle. It was located, but items were stolen from the vehicle.

8:59 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Pine Street reported being assaulted by a man, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

9:01 p.m. — A woman from the 2500 block of Ridge Road reported chasing off a man who had been urinating on her property. He then came back and threw a large rock through a window before fleeing on foot.

11:20 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported hearing two gunshots.

11:32 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of East Main Street reported a man looking into vehicles.

1:48 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lodestar Drive reported a man and woman trespassing and swimming in a creek.

2:29 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Little Valley Road reported the theft of a prescription.

2:48 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Ridge Road reported a woman sitting on a front porch and refusing to leave, who was arrested on unknown charges.

2:57 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Birchville Road reported squatters.

4:34 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Scotts Flat Road reported a residential burglary.

6:29 p.m. — A caller from Edwards Crossing reported the theft of a vehicle.

6:54 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Julianna Way reported a dog she was fostering attacked her and her daughter.

7:38 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Newtown Road reported a residential burglary with forced entry through a rear door.

7:47 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Sharmiden Way reported numerous people camping at a creek.

8:54 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Norlene Way reported two men on the golf course claiming to be fishing.

9:41 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Nevada City Highway reported squatters living in a vacant building. No one was located.

9:51 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Salida Court reported someone tried to open a side door, then fled. No one was located.

11:47 p.m. — A caller from Purdon and Tyler-Foote Crossing roads reported the theft of items from a truck.

1:30 p.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported vandalism to a water payment box.

1:38 p.m. — A caller from Nevada and Uren streets reported a dispute with a man pouring water on a woman.

2:46 p.m. — A caller from New Mohawk Road reported a woman trying to assault staff members.

5:21 p.m. — A caller from South Pine Street reported a theft.

10:59 p.m. — A caller from Lindley Avenue reported people using heroin.

Wednesday
