Police blotter: Vehicle break-ins, mail thefts reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

10 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Pine Lane reported a lot of traffic in and out of a residence.



10:13 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of registration tags and tools from a vehicle.

11:43 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of East Main Street reported a silver Marin bicycle was stolen out of the back of his truck.




2:02 p.m. — A caller from the 2100 block of Nevada City Highway reported a suspicious pipe with closed ends sitting on a newspaper dispenser; it contained a pressure gauge and was collected for disposal.

2:07 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a domestic violence incident.

2:08 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported five men drinking alcohol behind a store.

2:16 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported finding possible drugs.

2:52 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South Auburn Street requested extra patrols due to transients sleeping at the business, defecating and leaving trash.

3:33 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported a man and woman looking into car windows; they could not be located.

5:30 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a car was broken into and a gym bag, tablet and clothing were taken. The caller subsequently saw a woman wearing some of the missing clothing at a gas station.

7:25 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an assault victim.

8:42 p.m. — A caller from Doris and Bernice drives reported loud “crazy” music.

9:16 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey drive reported a man was drunk and throwing things, then punched a picture off the wall and a TV, and broke a windshield. No charges were desired. At 11 p.m., the caller reported he was tearing up the residence again. A report was taken.

11:15 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a dispute with a woman refusing to pay a bill.

11:40 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a woman spit on people. She said the owner of the business spit on her.

Tuesday

2:12 a.m. — A caller reported power tools and other items were stolen from the back of a truck on South Church and Neal streets.

2:47 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported hearing a possibly physical fight.

6:43 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported a locked vehicle was broken into and a backpack, a child’s lunch pail and a handheld radio were stolen.

8:38 a.m. — A caller from Red Dog and You Bet roads reported the theft of wood.

9:46 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Taylor Crossing Road reported trespassers in a closed-down building. A BOLO was issued for a suspect vehicle.

10:34 a.m. — A caller from Deer Creek reported an RV with several dead animals surrounding it and in the water.

11:36 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Logue Lane reported the theft of mail with the theft of a driver’s license and credit card; someone tried to use the credit card on Sept. 18.

11:58 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Kelly Court reported fraud on a credit card and money sent through Western Union.

12:06 p.m. — A caller from Ranchero Way reported a lost or stolen shotgun.

12:19 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Pilot Peak Lane reported the theft of a sign.

12:25 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Mount Olive Road reported vandalism to a window.

12:40 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Hummer Lane reported a person opened a garage and did laundry.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Ivey lane reported the theft of mail from multiple mailboxes.

1:49 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Dalewood Way reported the theft of the contents of a wallet.

2:18 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Birch Road reported the theft of a package from a parcel locker.

2:25 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Devonshire Circle reported the theft of water, electricity and the Internet by neighbors.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Ridgeview Drive reported a person brandished a weapon.

4:08 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Burma Road reported the theft of motion lights.

5:03 p.m. — A woman from Rattlesnake and Rattlesnake Ridge roads reported a man was trying to get her into his vehicle; she was hiding. She then was picked up by a friend and could not be located.

6:05 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Brookview Drive reported being assaulted by a person who is a customer at a known drug house.

6:20 p.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported a man hit another man and then left the scene.

6:53 p.m. — A caller from Beeman Lane reported a possible drug party.

7:08 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of red Gate Road reported a theft.

8:25 p.m. — A caller from Blue Tent School and Bloomfield-Graniteville roads reported road rage.

10:56 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of School Street reported a very loud party with drinking, drugs and loud music.

Tuesday

1:51 a.m. — A caller from Magnolia School reported a man who said he wanted to be arrested. A report was taken.

2:42 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported four people had climbed the scaffolding and were inside the second floor of a building.
