Police blotter: Trail-side suicide reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

6:43 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Northstar Place reported a man in a BMW yelling racial slurs; he could not be located.



11:48 a.m. — A caller from the 1800 block of Ridge Road reported a trespasser behaving in a belligerent manner.

1:04 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of North Church Street reported an assault by a man; a BOLO was issued.




1:32 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of Sutton Way reported a man lying on the ground with his walker in the gutter.

4:51 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Partridge Road reported a stolen Ford Focus.

7:12 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a man walking in the outfield, urinating and exposing himself.

10:04 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Clark Street reported a woman who seemed “spun” knocked on the door and asked if the caller remembered her.

9:50 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Pilot Peak Lane reported two missing horses.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from Penn Valley Drive reported a woman passed out at a gas pump.

12:14 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Bush Road reported a trespasser.

7:05 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Alexandra Way reported a Chihuahua roaming the neighborhood.

9:59 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Mills Road reported two unknown men strong-armed him and took $400 from his wallet. They knocked on his door and then one of the men hit him in the face and asked for money and weed. The man told him he owed money, but he doesn’t know then and had no idea what this was about. He did not need medical attention, A report was taken.

10:05 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Ridge Road reported a man was holding her dog hostage. He called to report she was refusing to leave and struck him. She said she did hit him because he is cheating on her and tried to hit her first. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

11:28 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Country Heights Drive reported hearing two gunshots; it was quiet when a deputy arrived.

11:39 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Burma Road reported a person was taking items out of a residence; no one was located.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported finding a gun in a hotel room while it was being cleaned.

8:17 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Railroad Avenue reported a person did not pay their bill.

9:32 p.m. — A woman from the 700 block of Nevada Street reported someone drilled the locks on a tow truck.

Saturday

1:11 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sacramento Street reported a man lying on a walkway. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.

1:56 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Spring Street reported a woman smoking in a car with the windows up and a child in the vehicle.

2:21 p.m. — A caller from Little Deer Creek trail reported finding a man who had shot himself on the trail and who was dead. A coroner’s report was taken.

Sunday

11:28 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported people loitering and scaring customers away.
