Police blotter: Teen throws tantrum over iPad

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

10:12 a.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a woman in the middle of the road, yelling at cars. She then was lying down in the road. A report was taken.



11:18 a.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Dorsey Drive reported a man wearing a motorcycle helmet with feathers sticking out was riding a bicycle and turning into cars as if he was trying to get hit. He could not be located.

11:27 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South School Street reported a stolen truck.




12:31 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Margaret Lane reported Internet fraud on Craigslist.

2:12 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man took alcohol from a store and then was drinking in Memorial Park; he was cited on unknown charges.

3:55 p.m. — A caller from Lloyd and Walsh streets reported the theft of a vehicle; it was later located on Temby Street.

4:42 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Sutton Way reported three people harassing customers and refusing to leave.

5:26 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of East Main Street reported a burglary to a business.

6:29 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glenwood Avenue reported a woman assaulted an elderly woman.

8:35 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a group of seven juveniles were trying to pick fights, then left.

9:07 p.m. — A caller from Columbia Avenue reported a 15-year-old boy was breaking items and broke a bathroom door; he was upset over his iPad being taken away.

9:41 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported traffic cones in the middle of the road.

10:16 a.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported a burglary to a vehicle overnight.

10:57 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Majestic View Court reported a fraud.

12:23 p.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported receiving a threatening fraud call over a need to pay fines or warrants.

1:23 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Lake Vera-Purdon Road requested information on capturing a raccoon.

2:13 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tower Hill Road reported a fight; no one was located.

2:20 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Trio Court reported a man grabbed him by the throat; no medical attention was needed.

3:54 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Wolf Road reported a woman who might be drunk and who had an open container left in a vehicle.

4:33 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Connie Drive reported a man possibly casing the area. He could not be located.

7:16 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Smith Road reported getting a scam call from someone regarding an IRS investigation.

7:48 p.m. — A caller from Purdon Road reported a vegetation fire.

9:25 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland and Brunswick roads reported hearing a young girl screaming; it was a large owl.

11:20 p.m. — A caller from Brooks Road reported a very loud generator.

Thursday

3:18 a.m. — A woman from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported people in her front yard with rocks and sticks, who broke a window and then fled. No crime was found, the woman was uncooperative.

12:49 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Boulder Street reported a possible attempted burglary and requested extra patrols.
