Police blotter: Suspects possibly planning canine jail-break

Friday

10:07 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a homeless camp; the people there were moving on.



11:38 a.m. — A caller from Primrose Lane reported a physical fight.

12:51 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Empire Court reported finding a window screen off a window in a possible attempted break-=in.




12:53 p.m. — A woman from Rhode Island and Brighton streets reported a man pulled a knife on her son in a dispute over a stolen bike. He could not be located.

1:03 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man in a Honda just shot up heroin in front of a store.

1:48 p.m. — A caller from Animal Control reported people were seen casing the building, possibly planning to break out an impounded dog.

4:09 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Ivy Street reported a physical fight involving a man and a woman.

5:46 p.m. — A woman from Rockwood Drive reported a burglary to an unlocked vehicle.

10:43 p.m. — A caller from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office reported a man fired two shots at his girlfriend’s vehicle and fled, and then went to a restaurant in the 700 block of Taylorville Road. Assistance was provided.

Saturday

12:10 a.m. — A woman from Dorsey Drive and East Main Street reported a man was holding her against her will, took her car keys and threw her around. She said he brandished a knife. A report was taken and a be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.

12:21 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported a loud party; it was quiet when officers arrived. At 1:20 a.m., the caller reported they were outside and making noise. They agreed to keep it down.

1:40 a.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a juvenile possibly injured in a physical fight. No crime was found to have occurred.

1:45 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported an unwanted person in an apartment. A burglary report was taken.

2:10 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Manor Drive reported three of four people screaming and banging things; no one was located.

3:04 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported a drunken man passed out in a restaurant. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, possessing hash and two warrants.

3:11 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of South Auburn Street reported finding drugs inside a vehicle.

6:31 p.m. — A caller from the 1200 local of La Barr Meadows Road reported a man breaking items who then left on foot.

7:48 p.m. — A woman from the 600 block of Brighton Street reported a man sprayed her father in the eyes with pepper spray.

11:32 p.m. — A man from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a person was siphoning gas from his big rig.

1:38 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported two men in a physical fight. They could not be located.

8:18 a.m. — A caller from South Church and Neal streets reported five men smoking drugs.

9:33 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported finding 10-12 needles and other drug items.

7:11 p.m. — A caller form the 100 block of Neal Street reported people had been in the bathroom of a business, doing drugs.

7:45 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported two men shoplifted from a store.

8:26 p.m. — A caller from a business on East Main Street reported a theft.

8:37 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Holcomb Road reported four aggressive dogs roaming the neighborhood.

11:10 a.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Avern Way reported a man choked her, then left.

2:47 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tyler-Foote Crossing Road reported a person possibly stealing items from a vacant house.

8:27 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Deerhaven Lane reported gunshots.

9:08 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Butterfly Drive reported a person shining flashlights into residences; no one was located.

9:31 p.m. — A man from the 21000 block of Highway 20 reported someone tried to open his mailbox.

10:05 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Newtown Road reported someone tried to open a front door.

5:47 a.m. — A caller from Lyman Gilmore School reported a burglary.

3:08 p.m. — A caller from Orchard Street reported smelling marijuana.

4:43 p.m. — A caller from Factory Street reported vandalism to a garage door.

9:41 p.m. — A woman from Orchard Street reported her husband beat her up; it was found to have been verbal.

Saturday

3:01 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Success Mine Loop reported a person rummaging through a vehicle. No crime was found to have occurred and the suspects were moving on.

2:38 p.m. — A caller from Winter Street reported the theft of shoes from a front porch.

Sunday

2:20 p.m. — A caller from Main Street reported vandalism to a gas tank fill tube.

6:40 p.m. — A caller from East Broad Street reported a golden Lab was taken from a residence.
