Police blotter: Stylish runaway sent home

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

9:25 a.m. — A caller from West Main and Townsend streets reported an approximately 9-year-old boy in a black suit with a white undershirt, carrying a duffle bag and asking people where to find a motel. He was returned to his residence.



10:02 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Carpenter Street reported the theft of tools from a secured garage.

1:33 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported a neighbor was threatening to have his dog kill her cat. The situation was mediated.




2:03 p.m. — A young boy called the CHP to report he was at a bank that was being robbed and they were trying to kidnap him; the cell phone was in the area of the 200 block of Sutton Way. The boy called back and then said to shut up when asked if it was a real emergency. Nothing was located.

3:56 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Stewart streets reported a man in a vehicle was exposing himself.

5:04 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported a person might be living in a shed.

7:31 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported a black Fiat with the doors open and a purse inside. A missing-persons alert was issued for the female owner of the vehicle. She reportedly spent the night at a transient camp and was located Tuesday.

8:42 a.m. — A woman from the 1000 block of Amber Loop reported someone threw a terra-cotta pot at her back door.

Tuesday

1:26 a.m. — A woman at the emergency room reported having been drugged at a local bar.

6:30 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a man spit on her.

8:04 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Harvest Lane reported a buck stuck in a fence, which was released.

8:43 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of McCourtney Road reported finding four containers of possibly old explosive material.

10:06 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported a man threw a bottle toward the caller, then left.

10:58 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Comerate Road reported a juvenile assaulted a staff member; the juvenile was cited.

11:16 a.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Pasquale Road wanted a phone call for a relationship issue. She reported a man lying on his online dating service profile; she said he was a sex offender in Montana.

11:46 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Lynshar Road reported the theft of furniture, dish sets and a trunk.

12:44 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Brunswick Road reported transients living on her property.

12:50 p.m. — A man from the 19000 block of John Born Road reported bullets flying through his property; the shooting was found to be in a safe manner.

3:10 p.m. — A caller from Squirrel Creek Road and Reefer Court reported a possible transient camp.

3:26 p.m. — A motorcycle on Highway 49 and Idaho-Maryland Road failed to yield and evaded law enforcement; a stolen vehicle report was taken.

4:04 p.m. — A man from the 19000 block of Matthew Road reported a trespasser.

4:36 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Wolf Road reported a person breaking things.

6:06 p.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Sunnyvale Lane reported his ex-wife and her boyfriend were opening accounts in his name.

6:23 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of McCourtney Road reported a woman was trespassing, refusing to leave and vandalizing property.

7:08 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a residential burglary.

7:48 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported she set her phone down and a person walked by and took it. The phone was returned.

Tuesday

1:19 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Fay Road requested the fire department for a possible nightmare.

3:06 p.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a person on the roof, who was admonished.

7:21 p.m. — A caller from Searls Avenue and Perseverance Mine Court reported a bear that previously had been trying to get into a truck. It was gone on arrival.

Saturday

9:43 a.m. — A caller from Factory Street reported a theft.

10:45 a.m. — A caller from Clay Street reported deer stuck in a fence, which was removed.

6:51 p.m. — A caller form Sacramento and Zion streets reported a screaming child; it was a birthday party.

9:45 p.m. — A caller from Sacramento and Zion streets reported a screaming man, who was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday

1:41 a.m. — A person was located sleeping in the teepee at Union and Broad streets.

3 p.m. — A caller from Spring Street reported a man yelling and saying he was going to shoot himself; he then said wedding guests were with the FBI and were going to blow him up. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

8:36 p.m. — A caller from Walrath Avenue reported a burglary to a vehicle.

Tuesday

4:35 a.m. — A caller from South Pine Street reported an argument, with a man with a pink machete.
