Police Blotter: Stolen .45-caliber handgun in residential burglary

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Sunday

11:05 a.m. — A 911 caller working on the roadway in the 10000 block of Lazy Valley Road reported being attacked by a subject living at a nearby residence.

11:38 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Valley View Road reported that someone hit a vehicle parked at their residence sometime between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Lawrence Way reported that his vehicle was vandalized.

2:45 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Julia Ranch Road notified dispatch of his intent to “shoot off some rounds.”

4:40 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Creek View Drive reported multiple items taken from his residence.

5:44 p.m. — A caller in the vicinity of Red Dog Road and Berggren Lane reported witnessing a male suspect grab a female victim by the hair and punch her in the face before leaving the scene.

6:53 p.m. — An anonymous caller from the vicinity of Bush and North Bloomfield roads reported seeing a man smoking meth from a glass pipe in front of the reporting party’s house.

7:28 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Dalewood Way reported vandalism to a gate.

9:43 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Tall Timbers Lane reported a residential burglary. The items stolen included a .45 caliber handgun.

Friday

11:27 a.m. — Officers took a report of vandalism on the 100 block of Sacramento Street.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Silva Avenue reported the burglary of an automobile.

10:18 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Orchard Street reported a loud party nearby, and wanted to file a complaint.

10:29 p.m. — A fugitive pet rabbit was spotted near a residence on the 500 block of Main Street.

Saturday

9:27 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Sacramento Street reported a laptop stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

11:10 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Nevada Street reported a suspicious female walking around houses, peeking into yards and going behind an abandoned residence.

3:37 p.m. — A caped woman with a guitar was reportedly screaming, or possibly singing, outside a business in the vicinity of Broad Street and Pine Street. The caller said the suspect was “getting agitated by bystanders, saying she needs her meds.”

7:42 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Willow Valley Road reported prowlers in her front yard.

Sunday

1:33 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Nursery Street reported a residential burglary.

6:24 p.m. — A dog bite was reported on the 500 block of North Pine Street.

9:19 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Nevada Street reported a female on the scene breaking things, including a bathroom window.
