Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

11:04 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported



being harassed by gang members.

12:47 p.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Butler Street reported the theft of $850 in cash from the residence. Officers took a report for burglary.




1:36 p.m. – A caller from a business on Idaho-Maryland Road reported a possible embezzlement going on for the past 18 months. Officers were to follow up.

3:37 p.m. – A caller said a drunken man was walking up June Drive picking fights with people. Officers were unable to locate the man.

5:16 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Brentwood Drive reported she is on parole and her father has threatened to plant a weapon in her vehicle. The caller was advised of the restraining order process.

5:57 p.m. – A disabled vehicle was reported with flares around it in the middle of the 300 block of Mill Street. The vehicle was towed.

7:06 p.m. – A caller wanted officers to stand by while he got his belongings out of an apartment he shared with a girlfriend on the 100 block of Main Street. Officers supplied the standby and then arrested the man on a warrant out of San Diego.

9:19 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a violation of a court order.

11:23 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of East Empire Street reported a prowler was knocking on the back door. Responding officers could not find the prowler.

Wednesday

12:27 a.m. – A angry man was yelling in the Jenkins Street area. Officers were unable to locate the man.

1:17 a.m. – A traffic stop on the Golden Center Freeway at Brunswick Road resulted in a man being cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license. The vehicle was towed.

Tuesday

8:52 a.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Boulder Street reported receiving a check for $3,900 in the mail from a company claiming that he won $55,000. The company requested him to send $300 for taxes, he said. The man waited for the check to clear the account, but it bounced. So he never sent the $300 to the company. The man requested contact with officers.

8:55 a.m. – A man from the 14000 block of Auburn Road reported that a county road worker threw a lit cigarette on the ground in front of his house. The man said he was worried about the fire hazard and requested contact with deputies.

11:27 a.m. – A man from the 16000 block of Dog Bar Road said a person tried to run him over while he was riding home on his bike. The person then started a verbal argument with the man. The man wanted sheriff’s deputies to contact the person and reprimand him.

12:18 p.m. – A man from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported the theft of a computer.

2:28 p.m. – A woman from the 14000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported an unknown car in her neighbor’s driveway.

3:28 p.m. – A caller from the 15000 block of Ricky Court reported a possible credit card fraud.

4:44 p.m. – A woman from the 10000 block of Jasper Agate Court reported her juveniles were fighting and that her son pulled the phone out of the wall.

6:45 p.m. – A man from the 18000 block of Larsen Road reported his son was causing an altercation at home. The man said his son took a computer and was threatening his wife. The juvenile then left on foot.

8 p.m. – A man from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported trespassers on his property who were harassing him all day and attacked him with pit bulls. The man said he shot two of the dogs in the rear. The trespassers were near a fence by a shed on the man’s property, he said.

8:04 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of McCourtney Road reported that her granddaughter was on the streets in Grass Valley and her father wasn’t allowing her to return home. The girl was at a business on East Main Street with a bag of clothes.

9 p.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported a domestic argument in a house at the intersection of Camelia Way and Torrey Pines Drive. A child is crying outside, while a man and a woman are arguing, the caller said.

9:48 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported neighbors yelling threats over the fence. The caller requested contact with officers.

Wednesday

2:57 a.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Devonshire Circle reported dogs barking for an hour. The caller attempted to contact the owners but no one could be reached. The caller said the man who owned the dogs has been ill lately. Officers contacted the owners and found they were OK.
