Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

8:38 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Neal Street reported that someone signed his name to a check and cashed it at a downtown business.



8:59 a.m. – A vehicle was voluntarily repossessed on the 600 block of Packard Drive.

10:06 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street said she was moving out, and there were two people in the residence she didn’t know who she wanted removed. The people left the residence before officers arrived.




10:30 a.m. – A traffic stop on South Auburn Street resulted in a man being cited and released on suspicion of driving while revoked or suspended. His vehicle was impounded.

10:35 a.m. – A man reported losing his partial dental plate downtown that had one plastic tooth in it.

11:45 a.m. – A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported gasoline had been taken out of three company vehicles in the area. Officers took reports for petty theft and vandalism.

1:20 p.m. – A small dog was reported in distress locked in a vehicle on the city hall parking lot. Officers located the dog owner, cited and released them on suspicion of cruelty to animals.

2:22 p.m. – An intoxicated woman walked out of the emergency room at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. Officers arrested and booked her at the county jail on suspicion of being drunk in public.

4:21 p.m. – No one was injured in a three-vehicle collision on East Main Street.

7:03 p.m. – A vehicle stolen Sept. 4 from the 300 block of Bennett Street was discovered undamaged in North Sacramento. The vehicle’s owner was advised.

11:19 p.m. – A traffic stop on the 200 block of Dorsey Drive resulted in a woman being cited and released on suspicion of driving suspended or revoked.

Tuesday

2:32 a.m. – A vehicle was voluntarily repossessed on the 300 block of Pleasant Street.

Monday

8:42 a.m. – A caller from the 18000 block of Lazy Lane reported a suspicious person wearing a camouflage costume near the caller’s residence. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and booked him into the Nevada County jail.

9:07 a.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Hillcrest Court reported a fraudulent transaction through Craigslist.

11:31 a.m. – A woman from the 13000 block of Toby Trail reported a bear in her front yard.

11:57 a.m. – A caller from the 23000 block of Patino Road reported vandalism to her water system.

2:11 p.m. – A caller from the 23000 block of Meyer Ravine Road reported some telephone lines being added to his name without his approval.

4:38 p.m. – A man from the 13000 block of Grass Valley Avenue reported theft of items from his vehicle.

5:32 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Spenceville Road reported theft of an iPod and a cell phone. A report was taken for petty theft under $400.

7:53 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Red Quartz Lane reported that her friend called from her boyfriend’s house saying he had broken her phone and was hitting her. The woman reported that her friend said, “he’s coming,” and then the phone went dead.

9:37 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Old Pond Lane reported having a physical altercation with a juvenile.
