Police blotter: Reported drunk driver gives drive-through cashier beer

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

9:32 a.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported a fraud.



9:53 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Springhill Drive reported vandalism to a fence.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Catherine Lane reported four broken windows.




2:06 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a van parked outside a store with the door open and a rifle leaning against the outside, with a man lying inside the van with a large amount of trash. The firearm report was unfounded.

3:04 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a man chasing people around a vehicle, trying to get them to fight. Another caller reported two men in a physical fight.

3:10 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported transients using a power outlet in front of a store.

3:39 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported two men yelling and screaming profanities. Another caller reported they were very drunk and yelling loudly. At 4:17 p.m., a caller from Church Street reported the men were causing havoc in the area.

3:57 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a drunken man passed out on the sidewalk.

5:53 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a man who stole two packs of cookies Friday was back, then left on a skateboard.

6:20 p.m. — A caller from Race and South Auburn streets reported a man looking in vehicle and asking for money, and acting odd.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from Broadview and Bawden avenues reported a man pulling on the handles of vehicle. He could not be located.

7:34 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Rhode Island Street reported a man trying to get in through a back sliding door, then leaving on foot.

10:40 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a drunken driver in the drive-through just gave an employee a beer. A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

10:59 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a man vandalized her vehicle.

8:42 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Sesame Street reported trespassing and theft.

8:52 a.m. — A man from the 12000 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported a burglary to a vehicle and a shop.

9 a.m. — A man reported his Jeep was stuck on Bowman Lake Road and he would retrieve it tonight.

10:40 a.m. — A man from Pleasant Valley Road reported the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

10:46 a.m. — A caller from Darkhorse Drive reported a possible burglary of a residence.

12:45 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported vandalism to a vehicle.

12:49 p.m. — A caller from the fairgrounds reported a woman lying on the ground and refusing to leave’ she was moving on.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road reported a dog chasing a llama.

3:08 p.m. — A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported a man with no shirt and no shoes who might be on drugs, stealing water from a water tank.

3:44 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Round Mountain Road reported an emaciated dog that was having trouble standing and walking; a report was taken.

3:50 p.m. — A caller from Grizzly Hill and Bloomfield-Graniteville roads reported trespassers and possible campers.

4:46 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alpine Lane reported neighbors abandoned a bird and a cat a month ago.

Tuesday

1:20 a.m. — A caller from Nevada Union High School reported hearing three gunshots.

1:22 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Indian Springs Road reported neighbors riding four wheelers; they then stopped.

7:24 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Church Street reported a bald woman who was drunk and staggering down the street and yelling racial epithets. She was waiting for court to open.

3:22 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Sacramento Street reported a man passed out on the sidewalk.

Tuesday

12:54 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of North Pine Street reported loud music.
