Police blotter: Reported assault was kids making movie

Sunday

9:39 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Buckingham Court reported a transient campsite.



9:42 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Marshall Street reported vehicles had been egged.

1:55 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Church Street reported an attic fire.




2:10 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Brighton Street reported drug activity in the area.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported an uncooperative assault victim from Grass Valley.

4:21 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man punched a window and was bleeding.

8:11 p.m. — A woman from Doris Drive reported a headboard fell on her and she was stuck.

8:12 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported runaway juveniles from Milhous were at the location, then fled. They cold not be located.

8:36 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported four kids jumping a man; it was found to be kids filming a movie.

8:38 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Woodland Way reported a man who fled the hospital and pulled a fire alarm was in the yard. He was released to mental health at the ER.

10:30 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of West Main Street reported people trying to break into a vehicle, who then fled.

11:48 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a stolen vehicle.

12:19 a.m. — A caller from Primrose Lane reported people in a vacant residence.

12:40 a.m. — Two runaway juveniles were located in the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway and arrested on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and possession of stolen property.

11:46 a.m. — A caller from Edwards Crossing reported illegal camping.

12:15 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway and Banner Lava Cap Road reported a large sign about Nazis and Islam, and wanted the sign taken down. It was people exercising their right to free speech.

5:10 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Mockingbird Way reported hearing two shots.

5:23 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Greenhorn Access Road reported three people in a physical fight. The situation was mediated. A caller later reported that a pot with plants inside was thrown and broken.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from Ginger Loop reported vandalism.

12:09 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Norager Way reported a person at a vacant residence; the person was the victim of a rental scam and was leaving.

12:32 a.m. — A caller from Gold Hill and Copper drives reported campers.

7:13 a.m. — A caller from McCourtney and Wolf Mountain roads reported a tree down and blocking the lane.

7:33 a.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Greenhorn Access Road reported a break-in to a group mailbox.

2:41 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a physical fight; a person was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

7:49 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported two men in a physical fight.

Saturday

12:11 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Broad Street reported loud music.

3:18 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported loud music; the party was over.

7:14 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a man sleeping in the vestibule of a business, who was warned against trespassing.

12:06 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a very aggressive panhandler, who was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.

6:44 p.m. — A caller from Miners Trail reported a young woman who seemed out of sorts, throwing a knife at a tree. She could not be located.

12:06 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Spring Street reported loud music.

12:44 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Spring Street reported party still going on; it was shut down.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported an unattended 4-year-old girl whose mother was very drunk inside a bar.

3:48 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Boulder Street reported she couldn’t find her car and she was too exhausted to keep going.

5:21 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Broad Street reported finding a 4-year-old girl, whose mother was located.

6:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Boulder Street reported finding a hypodermic needle.

9:20 p.m. — A caller from York and Commercial streets reported a man passed out, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
