Police blotter: Rental property scam reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

9 a.m. — A caller from Tinloy and Bank streets reported a possible assault in progress. It was a verbal dispute.



9:38 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported finding a sleeping bag and a suitcase, and requested extra patrols.

1:41 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way and Olympia Park Road reported a traffic accident with no injuries.




3:25 p.m. — A caller reported a victim of an assault on Colfax Avenue and Ophir Street sought treatment. The man reported that a man assaulted him after a minor traffic accident.

10:44 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a truck; he called back to say it might be a prank.

Thursday

6:17 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a woman sleeping in a store; there was a tent and tarp set up behind the building. She was escorted from the building.

Wednesday

8:34 a.m. — A caller from Spenceville and India Springs roads reported a person unable to maintain lanes, heading into oncoming traffic, who now was passed out. The call was transferred to CHP.

8:48 a.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Manzanita Diggins Drive reported getting into an argument with the driver of a truck who now was following the caller around the area, then exited her vehicle and was approaching the caller’s vehicle.

10:30 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Alpine Lane reported animal abuse.

12:04 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Harvest Hill Road reported a vehicle fire.

12:15 p.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Industrial Place reported road rage.

12:20 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Lakeview Court reported losing $1,600 in a fraudulent rental property scam.

1:13 p.m. — A caller from the 26000 block of Table Meadow Road reported credit card and identity theft.

2:18 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Patino Road reported a donkey.

2:48 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Sneath-Clay Road reported a fight involving two men. A man was arrested on outstanding warrants.

3:15 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported a golden retriever attacked another dog.

4:12 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Wolf Road reported a truck passing on the shoulder and driving at a high rate of speed.

6:18 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Shekinah Hill Road reported finding a large box of mail.

9:20 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Jayhawk Drive reported a fight involving a man and a woman, who were breaking things in a residence. The dispute was verbal.

9:51 p.m. — A caller from Peaceful Valley and Champion roads reported finding an unsheathed martial arts sword, and a boot.

1:11 p.m. — A caller from the 900 bloc of Maidu Avenue reported an infant locked inside a vehicle with no adult present.
