Police blotter: Rabid rodent, disturbed kittens reported

Thursday

10:43 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Maltman Drive reported transients sleeping under the stairs, and requested extra patrols.



10:46 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a man in the parking lot who appeared to be conducting a sobriety check on himself.

11:06 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported a person picked up a vehicle from storage and was driving erratically and doing doughnuts out of the parking lot.




11:34 a.m. — A caller from Brunswick Road and Plaza Drive reported a man smoking marijuana and drinking a Miller High Life, asking for harder drugs.

11:38 a.m. — A caller form Tinloy and Bank streets reported a man freaking people out by acting strange.

11:40 a.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and McCourtney Road reported a wrong-way driver crossing the double yellow lines, driving erratically after getting on the off-ramp.

11:55 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported drug paraphernalia that needed to be picked up.

1:58 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter.

3:21 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a homeless camp.

6:26 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a woman ran out of the store with a Raiders backpack full of stolen items.

6:29 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant and Chapel streets reported a man who looked angry and “on a mission” was walking down the street with a rifle. He could not be located.

9:12 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported the theft of items from a vehicle.

Friday

2:09 a.m. — A man reported a woman hit him with her vehicle and punched him. He did not need medical attention.

5:22 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported a person hiding at the stop of the stairs, making a lot of noise. The person wasn’t responding to questions. The person was lost and was returned to a hotel.

8:32 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Cement Hill Road reported mailboxes had been run over.

9:10 a.m. — A caller from Tyler-Foote Crossing and Grizzly Hill roads reported marijuana plant root balls had been dumped on private property.

9:44 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported an emaciated dog; a notice was posted.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of John Born Road reported someone entered a shop and rummaged through tool boxes, but did not take anything.

10:31 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Crystal View Heights reported vandalism to a mailbox.

11:51 a.m. — A man reported a woman assaulted him last night.

12:41 p.m. — A caller from Bear River High School reported a theft.

2:27 p.m. — A caller from Poplar Road reported an attempted residential burglary.

2:42 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Badger Hill Road reported a man took a vehicle.

2:42 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Garden Bar Road reported a possible rabid rodent.

3:14 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Sycamore Court reported credit card fraud.

4:50 p.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Alderwood Way reported a woman damaged his vehicle with a razor blade and left.

5:01 p.m. — A caller from Gibboney Lane reported a cyber attack.

5:52 p.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Burma Road reported vandalism.

6:51 p.m. — A woman from North Bloomfield-Graniteville Road reported thefts from her property and the theft of her vehicle. The suspect also had an illegal grow. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to report, but wanted law enforcement to sort it out.

7:37 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Pekolee Drive reported a person throwing items out of a vehicle.

7:45 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Madrone Forest Drive reported the theft of items from a vehicle.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Cedar Avenue reported a man banging on a door, saying he was packing a gun; he then left.

8:26 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lee Lane reported seeing a mountain lion.

Friday

1:53 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Deadmans Flat Road reported someone was shooting at him; the report was unfounded.

3:45 a.m. — A woman from Brunswick Drive reported loud music that was disturbing her kittens. She was taken to the hospital.

:29 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Long Valley Road reported a man at the front door who seemed confused and lost, saying he needed help. He said he had been in a fight but did not need medical attention. He could not be located.
