Police blotter: Prowling reports unfounded

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

7:29 a.m. — A woman from Ocean Avenue reported her vehicle was rummaged through and a change tray was taken.



7:41 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported ongoing problems with transients, with people sleeping in a parked van. They were advised of the camping ordinance.

8:06 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a student with contraband.




8:58 a.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a burglary to a vehicle with items stolen.

9:10 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported check fraud.

10:44 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole items.

11:39 a.m. — A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 200 block of North Auburn Street.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joyce Drive reported vandalism to a window, with someone shooting at a window.

3:34 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and West Empire Street reported a child walking on the highway.

3:40 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported drug activity.

7:17 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported an assault, with no medical attention needed.

8:57 p.m. — A caller from Juan Way reported a man was watching a neighbor through the window. It was a family member. Other reported of prowlers reportedly also were unfounded, as a trail cam revealed the paperboy or raccoons.

9:32 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of east Main Street reported seeing a distraught man holding a knife to his throat, who then left on foot.

Thursday

1:58 a.m. — A caller reported that video feed showed a man walking around a business in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue; he could not be located.

Wednesday

8:09 a.m. — Several callers from Highway 49 and Quail Creek Road reported a white Hummer swerving around traffic and all over the road.

9:08 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported the theft of a purse.

11:25 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Tranquility Lane reported finding a pig, whose owner was located.

1:09 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Lakeshore North reported cats stuck in his roof.

6:41 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Gary Way reported a large buck stuck in a fence, which freed itself.

9:13 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported a person looking into vehicles.

9:54 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Park Avenue reported the theft of a motion light.

10:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mine Rock Road reported a physical fight. A woman was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

2:36 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Nevada Street reported a theft.

2:47 p.m. — A caller from National Alley reported two men smoking marijuana in the parking lot.
