Police blotter: Pot-smoking Santa lookalike reported

Wednesday

10 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Sterling Court requested extra patrols due to having packages stolen from her front porch.



12:46 p.m. — A caller from the 200 bock of South School Street reported two men, one of whom looks like Santa Claus, smoking pot on the sidewalk. No drugs were found.

1:26 p.m. — A caller from the 1300 block of Whispering Pines Lane reported drug and transient issues.




3:3 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Harris Street reported three or four people camping behind a residence.

4:30 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Union Jack Street reported juveniles under a stairwell doing something that is causing embers to spark. They had left before an officer arrived; it appeared they had made a fort.

5:13 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Sutton Way reported shoplifting.

5:30 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a transient with a pitchfork digging through trash.

5:38 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Lamarque Court reported a man smoking marijuana in his yard.

5:46 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Brighton Street reported a woman trespassing, who was arrested on suspicion of having several outstanding warrants.

6:38 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported a vehicle that kept driving back and forth over a flower bed before leaving the scene.

8:27 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a 16-year-old seeking treatment for an assault.

9:56 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported two men in a fistfight.

12:08 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a crazy lady yelling and screaming. A person was cited on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

1:52 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man yelling at people, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

2:07 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North School Street reported people yelling, who were advised to keep it down.

5:57 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man carrying knives and making odd statements. He said he had tried to buy items with the knives, and was admonished to not return.

8:40 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Bass Trail reported identity theft.

9:40 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported two small black pigs on his property, which were not friendly.

10:44 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported two men drinking fro open containers, who had been with two small children. They were moving on.

10:46 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported receiving a fraudulent check for possible employment.

11:25 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Old State Highway reported vandalism to a residence.

11:55 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Combie Road reported shoplifting.

12:04 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lone Lobo Trail reported identity theft.

12:10 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and the South Yuba bridge reported a car on fire.

12:49 p.m. — A woman from the 20000 block of Golden Bear Drive reported her neighbor’s two dogs killed an orphaned fawn.

12:57 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Brunswick Pines Road reported someone purchased two phones using someone’s name.

2:39 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Voyageur Way reported a burglary.

3:07 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Sages Road reported mail theft.

4:49 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Retrac Way reported an assault from August.

5:14 p.m. — A caller from Robin Street reported a man against whom there is a restraining order is trying to get into a residence through the window. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

5:36 p.m. — A caller from Allison Ranch Road and Mote Lane reported a fire from a pile of smoldering wood chips.
