Police blotter: Pot returned to wrong sender

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

8:27 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Pine Street reported the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle.



1:03 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a woman was trying to hire a contractor to kill the caller tonight.

1:09 p.m. — A caller reported a stolen bike.




3:08 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody, who was cited.

3:39 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Clark Street reported a dispute with a neighbor over a leaf blower.

6:02 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a boy stole two large bottles of alcohol, including Jack Daniels, and fled with a man chasing him. The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, being drunk in public and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

8:33 p.m. — A caller from Packard Drive and Brighton Street reported hearing four to five gunshots.

11:20 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported a man hit her with a closed fist, but she did not need medical attention.

6:40 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported someone was thrown through a window, breaking it.

8:03 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Toby Trail reported a burglary.

9:07 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road reported a man who uses marijuana has guns and bombs.

10:20 a.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Ballantree Lane reported threats by a neighbor and found bullet holes in a tree on his property.

11:01 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Butterfly Drive reported a burglary with jewelry missing.

12:28 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Wild Turkey Lane reported he was assaulted by his brother but did not need medical attention. No charges were desired.

1:38 p.m. — A caller from the courthouse reported an assault; a person was cited.

2:02 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Joey Court reported a fraud.

2:45 p.m. — A caller from Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported someone used his address as a return address, and a package containing 2 pounds of marijuana was returned to him.

3:55 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Rolling Hills Court reported a fraud.

9:38 p.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported receiving an “enormous amount” of annoying phone calls.

9:41 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Forest View Drive reported three men came out of the side yard of a residence that should have been vacant and took off when a flashlight was turned on. They could not be located.
