Police blotter: Pot-drying activity draws complaint

Wednesday

8:35 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Stennett Street reported hearing a gunshot.



9:11 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported an assault with medical attention needed.

9:15 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Buena Vista Street reported the theft of a bag of keys and other items from an unlocked vehicle.




11:22 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported receiving a fraudulent check.

2:09 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Vistamont Drive reported a man with mental health issues was out of control and kicking vehicles.

4:09 p.m. — A person was cited in connection with a vegetation fire in the 800 block of Annex Avenue.

6:25 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a physical fight involving a woman and a girl; the situation was mediated.

9:22 p.m. — caller from the 100 block of Joyce Drive reported a trespasser who was chased off by the caller’s dogs.

9:47 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Race Street reported a garage was broken into, with a person breaking the lock and then fled after apparently dropping a power saw in the road.

8:02 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of River Ranch Road reported a neighbor’s pit bull killed a goat.

8:10 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Ivey Lane reported a check stolen from the mail was cashed in the area.

8:39 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Harmony Ridge Road reported the theft of chainsaws from a locked vehicle.

9:27 a.m. — A caller from Boulder Street reported illegal dumping.

9:53 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported the theft of mail.

10:22 a.m. — A caller from Burma Road reported forced entry had been made into a residence.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from Lyman Gilmore School reported a student in possession of drugs, who was cited and released.

1:31 p.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Alexandra Way reported a tax scam call.

1”44 p.m. — A caller from the boat ramp at Lake of the Pines reported the theft of a kayak from the boat rack.

2:43 p.m. — A caller from Fagerlie Road reported a generator running 24-7, drying marijuana, on a vacant property. The generator was turned off due to being a fire hazard.

3:55 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Los Ninos Place reported credit fraud.

4:27 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Crescent Drive reported past assaults.

4:34 p.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley and Sweetland roads reported a woman wearing a blanket wandering in the middle of the road, who tried to run in front of a vehicle. She could not be located.

9:54 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Quail Creek Road reported a driver ran a red light and was all over the road, passing on the wrong side of the road.

9:55 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Pekolee Drive reported possible road rage.

4:50 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Oak Drive reported a verbal argument and gunshots.
