Thursday – 104 calls for service
8:23 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Litton Avenue reported a transient camping. He was advised to leave.
8:29 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported transients in sleeping bags. They were gone when officers arrived.
9:17 a.m. – A woman reported a message on her cell phone asking her if she needed more drugs. The information was given to narcotics officers.
10:45 a.m. – A caller from a business in the 100 block of South Church Street reported a person with a fake ID withdrew money from an account.
11 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a burglary.
11:30 a.m. – A woman from the 300 block of Second Street reported her dog had been attacked.
1:03 p.m. – A woman from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported her boyfriend assaulted her and their child last night.
2:56 p.m. – A woman from South Auburn and West Main streets reported a skateboarder almost knocked her over and tried to look up her shirt.
3:08 p.m. – A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported an assault. A person was cited and released.
4:01 p.m. – A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported an attempted theft. A man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, robbery, criminal conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.
4:46 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man in a fedora and a really long coat was saying inappropriate things to the bartender and refusing to leave. He could not be located.
7:40 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man shouting and causing a disturbance. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
12:23 a.m. – A man from the 200 block of Washington Street reported a woman assaulted him. A woman was arrested for violating probation.
1:33 a.m. – A caller from Neal Street reported two people sleeping on couches outside a business, who were gone when officers arrived.
2:28 a.m. – A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported a vehicle playing loud music.
6:45 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported the theft of a bread tray.
Thursday – 85 calls for service
10:07 a.m. – A caller from Newtown Road and Highway 49 reported gunfire in the area.
11:43 a.m. – A woman from the 11000 block of Hidden Valley Road reported finding a container of hypodermic needles in her backyard due to suspected drug activity.
1:55 p.m. – A woman from the 11000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported her mother hit her with a walker and then her brother pushed her into the door of a van. The mother reported her daughter hit her with a piece of paper. A report was taken.
2:07 p.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of St. Ledger Forest reported the theft of 12 medical marijuana plants Friday.
2:10 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Bartlett Drive reported receiving a fraudulent check for a Craigslist item.
3:37 p.m. – A woman from the 22000 block of Sunset Ridge Drive reported receiving three e-mails from a former landlord, saying he was in England and needed money and was being held at gunpoint.
3:51 p.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Highway 49 reported a banner had been stolen from outside a church.
6:24 p.m. – A man from the 20000 block of New Rome Road reported someone stole firewood from a yard. It was found to be miscommunication between the caller and a tree service.
6:26 p.m. – A woman from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported people had surrounded her vehicle trying to get a passenger to fight them. This was the third incident in the last two months.
11:37 p.m. – A man from the 20000 block of Chaparral Circle reported his wife kicked him in the head, but he did not need medical attention. They were separated for the night.
Thursday – 18 calls for service
12:35 p.m. – A caller from Commercial Street reported people in the parking lot acting in a threatening manner to passersby.
2:53 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported an attempted burglary in progress with a man yelling and screaming inside a store. A shoplifting report was taken.
5:30 p.m. – A woman reported her son stole her vehicle and he was at Calanan Park, threatening to fight her husband. The keys were retrieved and the son left on foot.
8:39 p.m. – A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a shoplifter, who was arrested on suspicion of petty theft with a prior.
2:06 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported an assault by suspects who fled in a cab.
