Thursday – 45 calls for service

7:50 a.m. – A man calling from Celesta said his neighbor has three dogs that run loose regularly, although they weren’t loose at the moment. He said he was concerned about the fence and he feels the dogs will hang themselves unless the situation was taken care of.

12:02 p.m. – Police called back a 911 hang up from Sutton Way. The caller said she wanted a date with the officer.

4:43 p.m. – A a woman from the 500 block of South Auburn Street said another woman burst into her home and attacked her.

5:54 p.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Henderson said a person was outside of the residence with guns. Police made contact and found no guns.

7:10 p.m. – Police called back on a 911 hang up from the 10 block of North School Street and found a daughter had called during an argument with her father. Police advised the daughter on the misuse of 911.

9:36 p.m. – A caller from the 1000 block of East Main Street said he was being harassed by a woman outside his residence, yelling and throwing rocks at him and his neighbors.

Thursday- 83 calls for service

8:05 a.m. – A caller reported seeing a man leering at children waiting at a bus stop on the 12000 block of Highway 174.

1:08 p.m. – A woman called from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway to report she was hit in the face by another woman over a vehicle payment dispute.

3:02 p.m. – A caller reported a man was blocking traffic on Brock Road at Hoover Lane with his truck. When asked why he was doing that, he replied that he was doing it because he said so.

4:05 p.m. – A woman called from Wild Turkey Lane to report another woman pointed a shotgun at her.

5:10 p.m. – A caller reported seeing a man pour a beer into a cup at an Alta Sierra Drive gas station before driving away.

9:48 p.m. – A man called from the 11000 block of Nugget Lane to report his roommate threw a pitchfork at him.


1:05 a.m. – A woman called from the 14000 block of Greenwood Circle to report a bear was in her backyard.

Thursday- 12 calls for service

2:40 p.m. – Two men were spotted carrying a tub up Broad Street in Nevada City.
