Police blotter: Oct. 15, 2010

7:41 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported a vehicle with the back window broken out.

7:49 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of South School Street reported a truck with the back window shot out.

9:22 a.m. – A caller from Partridge Road reported vandalism.



9:30 a.m. – A caller from Memorial Park reported a possible drug deal, with a man taking a baggy out of his pocket and giving it to men sitting at a picnic table.

10:28 a.m. – A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported fish in a pond had been killed with a spear.




11:34 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Brentwood Avenue reported two men cut the chain to a bicycle and were stealing it. It was found to belong to one of the men.

11:44 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Race Street reported someone threw a rock through the back window of a vehicle.

11:46 a.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported a hole through a garage window, possibly caused by a bullet.

12:43 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man with long hair and a beard, carrying a pink purse, was stealing items off people’s decks. He was gone when officers arrived.

1:27 p.m. – A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported a client burned a staff member.

2:23 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Maiden Lane reported the theft of 40 pills from a pill box.

3:28 p.m. – A caller from the 1300 block of East Main Street reported finding drugs.

3:50 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a shoplifter, who was cited and released.

4:03 p.m. – A caller from the 800 block of East Main Street reported finding drugs in a bag.

4:29 p.m. – A caller from South School Street reported a physical fight between a man and a woman, They were both arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

4:46 p.m. – A caller from Memorial Park reported a man staggering into traffic. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

7:09 p.m. – A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a shoplifter who had left the scene.

Thursday

3:21 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Columbia Avenue reported hearing glass breaking. A vandalism report was taken.

9:50 a.m. – A woman from the 13000 block of Mesa Drive reported her ex-boyfriend would not stop calling. The man said he had “to get everything out.” He was told that a criminal report would be filed if he called again.

10:49 a.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Three Sevens Place reported elder abuse.

1:38 p.m. – A caller from the 17000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported a man on a dirtbike driving back and forth. The man then stopped and came up to the door, asking for flowers for his girlfriend. The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

3:53 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Pleasant Hill Court reported a lock was cut off a power box.

4:13 p.m. – A caller from Penn Valley Drive reported a woman hitting a man in a truck. The truck then pulled over and the man hit the woman. A report was taken.

5:31 p.m. – A caller from the 17000 block of Highway 20 reported a burglary to a pump house.

8:15 p.m. – A man from the 17000 block of Lawrence Way reported his stepson hit his wife and left on foot. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued for a runaway.

9:45 p.m. – A man from the 10000 block of Pine Hill Drive reported he was attacked by a pitbull in his driveway. He was not injured.

11:25 p.m. – A man from the 100 block of Lark Street reported he was followed home from a business by a man who then started hitting his truck with a stick and threatening to beat him up.

11:29 p.m. – A caller from the 14000 block of Del Ta Don reported a dispute. A man was arrested on two local felony warrants and cited on an out-of-county warrant.

Thursday

2:39 a.m. – A woman from the 17000 block of Lake Forest Drive reported receiving a phone call from her incarcerated son, who told her he had sent an ambulance to her residence. She did not have a medical need and no ambulance had been sent. The suspect allegedly was calling Lake Wildwood security as well.

5:06 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Church Street reported finding drug paraphernalia.
