Friday

8:51 a.m. – A caller from a hair salon on the 1700 block of East Main Street reported a suspicious man came into the business while it was closed, asking for a free haircut, then asking for $10.



12:10 p.m. – A caller from a grocery store on Nevada City Highway reported high schoolers on their lunch break were driving recklessly in a light blue Mercedes and almost ran over a family in the parking lot. The car was gone when officers arrived.

4:45 p.m. – A caller reported three teenagers were rolling in a wheelchair down Clark and Conaway streets, causing a traffic hazard.




9:15 p.m. – A caller from the 1800 block of Ridge Road reported a car had been burglarized. Police took a report.

1:40 a.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Henderson Street reported he could hear someone running on the roof of the building and was afraid to leave. Police checked the building but were unable to locate anyone running on the roof.

12:18 p.m. – Police contacted a man on the 200 block of South Church Street who was hosting a garage sale, despite being barred from having another sale until the new calendar year.

1:53 p.m. – A man from Upper Slate Creek near Ridge Road reported a man with an orange hammer in his hand had kicked him twice in the leg.

5:40 p.m. – A woman was arrested on the 100 block of East Main for an outstanding out-of-county warrant.

6:45 p.m. – A caller reported a driver headed northbound on Dog Bar Road had nearly run the caller off the road while passing illegally. California Highway Patrol officers handled the call.

7:07 p.m. – A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a man wearing a fedora and carrying an army backpack was stumbling and attempting to cross the roadway. Police were unable to locate the man.

Sunday

2:51 a.m. – A woman from Candy Lane reported her dog was dying and demanded Calfire transport oxygen for the dog because she could not take it to the veterinarian.

12:34 p.m. – Deputies made a drug-related arrest at Boulder Street and Park Avenue.

1:36 p.m. – A man from the 11000 block of Ridge Road reported he was stuck in the library elevator. He got out before deputies arrived.

3:05 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Short Circle reported the house was paintballed twice.

4:38 p.m. – A property manager for a foreclosed home on the 13000 block of Trahern Drive reported the previous owner had been squatting by the creek and repeatedly had been told to leave.

7:01 p.m. – A man from Green Court and Lakeshore North reported a loose pit bull had cornered him and his wife. Two children were calling for the dog and trying to catch it.

7:18 p.m. – A caller from the 16000 block of Hound Dog Drive reported his ex-wife was threatening his girlfriend via text messages.

7:30 p.m. – Several callers reported automatic gunfire on Lorie Drive near Dog Bar Road. The scene was quiet when deputies arrived.

7:39 p.m. – A man from the 18000 block of Gopher Lane reported someone broke into his property and took multiple plants. His motor home was also vandalized in the incident.

7:57 p.m. – A caller from Lime Kiln Road at Retrac Way reported a large goat was in the roadway. The call was transferred to the CHP.

8:52 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Magnolia Road reported a physical fight between two men and a woman in the roadway.

1:46 a.m. – Deputies made a drug-related arrest on Brunswick Road near the “Y.”

10:23 a.m. – A caller from the 20000 block of Clydesdale Road reported a chest freezer and refrigerator had been stolen earlier in the week, but had been returned.

10:56 a.m. – A woman from the 24000 block of Restive Way reported her neighbor tried to take her camera from around her neck and threw her to the ground. The man said the woman had pushed him. Deputies took a report.

4:46 p.m. – A man from the 18000 block of Norlene Way reported finding bags of drug paraphernalia on his property. Deputies determined they were empty fertilizer containers.

6:03 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Flying T Road reported her husband was hit by a motorcycle and needed medical attention for a bleeding leg.

7:21 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Discovery Way reported two boys and a girl were doorbell ditching in the neighborhood.

8:07 p.m. – A caller reported six to eight teenagers were smashing the door of the HEW Building and trying to break in. Deputies were unable to locate the teens.

10:50 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Jones Bar Road reported a fight at a party between her husband and a partygoer who had thrown tires at him.

9:45 p.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Broad Street reported a balding man with a mustache kept entering the theater and disturbing patrons. The man was told not to return to the theater.

10:14 p.m. – A caller reported a person hanging on cars and skateboarding at Union Street and Broad Street. Police were unable to locate the skateboarder.

Sunday

1:07 a.m. – A man who was being put under arrest at Pioneer Park on suspicion of public intoxication fled out the window of a patrol car. He was caught Sunday afternoon.
