Police blotter: Multiple vehicle thefts reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

10:46 a.m. — A caller from the 60 block of Freeman Lane reported a suspicious man taking books from a book drop. He worked for the library and had a key to the padlock.



10:53 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported finding a syringe in the bushes.

2:54 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Independence Court reported the theft of items from a locked vehicle.




2:54 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported three people by the skate park drinking and smoking marijuana; they could not be located.

3:20 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Butler Street reported suspicious activity the night before, with the possible theft of fuel.

3:23 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland and Brunswick roads reported a driver left in a truck after drinking eight beers.

3:28 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody.

3:58 p.m. — A caller from Joerschke Drive reported a 17-year-old girl out of control after being asked to do dishes. The girl shoved her mother, who then slapped her. The girl was cited.

4:34 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Bank Street reported the theft of a helmet and saddlebags from a motorcycle.

5:34 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive reported a residential burglary of medication.

5:46 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported a counterfeit $100 bill.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported vandalism to change machines at a business, causing about $2,500 in damage.

9:38 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Glenwood Road reported hearing a gunshot.

6:32 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of East Main Street reported the theft of a motorcycle. A BOLO was issued.

8:38 a.m. — A man from the 22000 block of Cottage Hill Drive reported a neighbor pepper-sprayed his dog.

8:46 a.m. — A caller from Magnolia Road and East Hacienda Drive reported buzzards had been electrocuted by lines.

9 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 11000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported storage totes in the parking lot had been broken into, with items stolen. Storage units also had been broken into.

9:44 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Crestview Drive reported an erratic driver throwing rocks at the reporting party.

10:43 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Braemar Way reported the theft of jewelry from a residence.

11:01 a.m. — A caller reported a firearm was stolen from a vehicle two years ago.

11:04 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported a baby turkey running around the property, apparently separated from its mother.

1:19 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Schroeder Way reported the theft of tools from an unlocked vehicle.

3:02 p.m. — A caller reported a possible physical fight in the 12000 block of Kilham Mine Road; nothing was located.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Barde Court reported a man on a bicycle taking photos of children.

3:31 p.m. — A caller from Alta Sierra Drive and Little Valley Road reported hearing a gunshot and an alarm going off. Nothing was located.

4:25 p.m. — A woman from Robert Court reported a man threw her to the ground; an emergency protective order was issued.

4:30 p.m. — A caller from a juvenile facility on Comerate Court reported a girl had cut herself and a staff member with glass. A report was taken.

5:33 p.m. — A caller from Sadie D Drive reported a fight with yelling and screaming, and a woman hitting a man on the back of the head. A man left and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

7:02 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of McCourtney Road reported promiscuous shooting.

7:44 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Kingsbury Circle reported hearing a high-caliber gunshot.

8:23 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive reported a bear possibly trapped between two backyards.

9:40 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Burma Road reported someone broke two locks on a shed and tried to break a lock on another shed.

11:41 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Butterfly Drive reported a bear going through garbage cabs.

12:58 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Hallwood Place reported hearing a woman yelling for help.

1:07 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of North Pine Street reported two dogs barking in a vehicle for hours.

2:08 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Argall Way reported the theft of items from the patio.

2:24 p.m. — A caller from Uren and Nevada streets reported the theft of mail.

10:19 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a drunken woman climbing scaffolding; she could not be located.

11:23 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a newspaper dispenser was thrown into a vehicle and a person was screaming.
