Police blotter: Multiple burglaries reported

Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

8:54 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of West Main Street reported a transient sleeping in the doorway of a business, refusing to leave; he was gone when an officer arrived.



11:54 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Bank Street reported a suspicious package.

12:10 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of an antique sign.




3:44 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Park Avenue reported hearing a physical fight with a man hitting a woman in the face. He left and she did not want to press charges.

4:06 p.m. — A caller from Mill Street reported a man with a bright red face falling in the street. He was drunk and was advised to stay on the sidewalk.

4:42 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Joerschke Drive reported two boys smoking marijuana. A juvenile was arrested on unknown charges.

4:54 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of bank Street reported transients sitting on a planter box and destroying property; a man was moving on.

6:27 p.m. — A caller from Elizabeth Daniels Park reported two people in a closed area, who could not be located.

7:29 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a 6-year-old boy alone in a vehicle. At 7:55 p.m., the father was located inside a gym and was reunited with the child, who was OK.

7:41 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Celesta Drive reported a bear in his backyard.

9:24 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway reported a bear walking down the road.

1:50 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of West Main Street reported hearing two gunshots and screaming; nothing was located.

8:08 a.m. — A woman from McCourtney and Indian Springs roads reported that someone removed a bench and items for a memorial for her deceased son.

8:11 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Forest View Drive reported a burglary to his residence and vehicle while he was in the shower.

10:38 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Kentucky Flat Road reported trespassing.

11:17 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Apache Court reported an ongoing issue with dogs chasing livestock.

11:18 a.m. — Multiple callers from Highway 174 and Brunswick Road reported an elderly man hitchhiking who was jumping out into traffic.

1:13 p.m. — A caller from Bitney Springs and Empress roads reported horses are not being fed and can’t access water.

1:59 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Highland Drive reported identity theft.

2:43 p.m. — A caller from McKitrick Ranch Road requested a welfare check on a dog with a severe back injury that was tied up with no water. The dog was found to be OK.

3:05 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Sky Pines drive reported finding a front door wide open with the locks broken and items strewn around.

3:10 p.m. — A caller from Long Valley Road reported a horse versus a person.

4:14 p.m. — A caller from Town Talk and Brunswick roads reported people smoking drugs in a vehicle.

4:23 p.m. — A man from the 17000 block of Silver Pine Drive reported a residential burglary with multiple guns and ammunition missing.

4:29 p.m. — A caller from Town Talk Road and Glenbrook estates Court reported a man skipping up a hill and down into the road, acting like he was thrown things.

4:49 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Little Bear Lane reported ongoing barking dog issues.

4:58 p.m. — A caller from Wildflower Drive reported the theft of an antique water pump.

7:26 p.m. — A caller from Banner Quaker Hill and Pasquale roads reported a man staying in a truck and panhandling; he was advised of a warrant.

9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Rocker Road reported a woman screaming; it was quiet when a deputy arrived.

Wednesday

1:43 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Horton Street reported a man trespassing, banging on doors. He was Tased and fought with the deputy. He was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest.

11:58 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Uren Street reported a woman was screaming and then threatened the caller. A person was arrested on unknown charges.

6:25 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a woman screaming for help and running. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

7:53 p.m. — A caller from American Hill Road reported two people walking on a dirt road, pushing a table and carrying a flashlight; they could not be located.

10:36 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sacramento Street reported a juvenile boy was trying to sell drugs in the parking lot. The report was unfounded and he was released to his father.

Wednesday

5:41 a.m. — A man wearing one shoe from the 300 block of Sacramento Street reported another man chased him out of a transient camp.
