Police blotter: Money-stealing landlord just a bad dream
Grass Valley Police Department
7 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported a man who might be under the influence walking down the middle of the street. Another caller reported he was running up and down the street, waving his shirt in the air. He agreed to go inside.
12:37 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a vehicle possibly involved in drug activity, which was now leaving.
3:40 p.m. — A man from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported being cheated out of money by his landlord. He called back to say the crime never happened, it was a dream.
4:18 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Dorsey Drive reported a man walking on the highway; he could not be located.
4:47 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported possible squatters setting up camp.
5:54 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street could be heard talking about someone about to kill a cop. It was someone yelling at their TV.
8:12 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported a physical fight, with pitbulls. At 9:12 p.m., a man called to report he was going to be attacked.
8:26 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported receiving two counterfeit bills.
8:28 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1800 block of East Main Street reported someone came in and dropped a bunch of bugs in the lobby.
8:30 p.m. — A caller from Morgan Ranch Drive and Defiant Way reported a deer in the road with plastic stuck on its head.
11:29 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Upper Slate Creek Road reported a person making a lot of noise next door.
11:33 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Vistamont Drive reported a loud teenage party with people refusing to stop making noise.
12:42 a.m. — A caller form the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported a van hit the pumps at the gas station and the driver was trying to take off. A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and a man was cited on suspicion of being drunk in public.

9:48 a.m. — A caller form Grass Valley Avenue reported identity theft and a possible commercial burglary.
11:01 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Grass Valley Avenue reported vandalism and possible stalking.
12:55 p.m. — A caller from Meda Drive reported drug activity.
2:54 p.m. — A caller from the jail reported vandalism to a visiting room.
3:20 p.m. — A caller from Cherokee Road reported mail theft.
3:25 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported a theft from a business.
5 p.m. — A caller from Nevada City Highway and Banner Lava Cap Road reported a man with several cans of paint climbed a wall and dropped down toward the freeway, possibly in a vandalism attempt. No one was located.
9:43 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Vista Drive reported someone threw a rock through the window, then ran away.
12:58 a.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Shadow Drive reported someone shot a house twice with paintballs in the last hour.
5:26 a.m. — A caller from Penn Valley Drive reported vandalism with the windows of a business smashed.
