Police Blotter: March 4, 2010
6:05 a.m. – A caller from Sutton Way reported finding three hypodermic needles in a planter box. They were to be disposed of.
2:07 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Sierra College Drive reported a man threw a clipboard at the caller and was acting in a bizarre manner.
3:31 p.m. – A woman from the 700 block of Old Tunnel Road reported she gave her credit card number to a person posing as being from the Publishers Clearinghouse. She called her bank to cancel the charges.
4:33 p.m. – A caller from Highway 20 and Whiting Street reported a taxi was driving 90 mph, ran a red light and was swerving in traffic.
7:05 p.m. – A caller from Bennett and Henderson streets reported vandalism to the back window of the police department’s radar trailer.
7:20 p.m. – A caller from Mill Street reported a vehicle hit a pedestrian and the victim was in the emergency room.
8:08 a.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Manion Canyon Road reported a propane leak at a neighbor’s house.
8:59 a.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Deerlick Road reported a possible theft that occurred three years ago.
1:08 p.m. – A caller from the 15000 block of Honey Hollow Roads reported a possible identity theft that occurred in January.
2:23 p.m. – A caller from the 19000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road reported the Columbia Hill fire station had been broken into. Nothing had been taken.
4:15 p.m. – A man from the 18000 block of Royal Plum Way reported someone had been using his Social Security number.
5:11 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Arctic Close reported a person was calling her son and threatening to take him to small claims court and asking for $200 because her son cracked the plastic on a cell phone. She was concerned because the person’s reaction to the alleged incident was inappropriate.
9:28 p.m. – A woman from the 10000 block of South Ponderosa Way reported her husband was going to make her sleep outside in the rain. The situation was mediated.
12:56 a.m. – A woman from the 11000 block of Caledonia Way reported a man was trying to get through the door with a knife. The allegations were unfounded and she refused medical attention. At 3:13 a.m., a caller requested an ambulance for a heart attack and a person was transported to the hospital.
3:46 a.m. – A caller from Duggans and Lime Kiln roads reported a girl walking in her pajamas. She had had a verbal fight with a friend and was given a ride.
10:08 p.m. – A caller from Zion Street reported a drunken man yelling about Satan.
1:05 a.m. – A caller from a business in the 700 block of Zion Street reported a man throwing pallets around. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
