Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

6:52 a.m. – A man called from the 300 block of Mill Street to report a drunken man had tried to break into his home. When he asked the drunk what he was doing, the man said he had to urinate urgently.



7:04 a.m. – A man called from W. Main Street to report a person had passed out on the street in front of a business.

12:17 p.m. – A man called from Elizabeth Daniels park to report a number of suspects were smoking and selling marijuana.




1:44 p.m. – Officers arrested a woman on the 200 block of Church Street for drug possession.

8:14 p.m. – An employee of a restaurant on the 100 block of Main Street called to complain a woman making a disturbance at the entrance and appeared to be intoxicated.

10:53 p.m. – A woman called from the 500 block of Sutton Way to report a man was sleeping in his pickup truck in the parking lot. The man told officers he was hoping to sleep there for the night and he was advised to move on.

11:03 p.m. – A woman called from the 300 block of Idaho-Maryland Road to report a group of men were drinking outside and being very loud. They told officers they were celebrating a bachelor party and would take the celebration inside.

Saturday

8:44 a.m. – A business owner on the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported someone broke a window at his business overnight.

10:58 a.m. – A man called from the 100 block of Berryhill Road to report a man kicked in the manager’s door at a business in the area.

5:15 p.m. – A woman called from the 800 block of Tunnel Road to report she’d bought some cookies from a grocery store earlier that day and thought they were making her ill.

5:19 p.m. – A woman called from the 100 block of Race Street to report a neighbor’s pit bull was loose and chasing area residents.

5:41 p.m. – A man called from the 200 block of South Auburn Street to report someone had thrown a traffic cone through the window at a school.

7:48 p.m. – A man called from the 100 block of South Auburn Street to report a woman was pacing back and forth for more than an hour while talking to herself and looking in windows in the area.

9:25 p.m. – A woman called from the 100 block of Arcadia Drive to report a group of juveniles were running and hiding behind bushes in the area, dressed in black.

2:48 a.m. – A man called from a bar on the 100 block of Mill Street to report a woman had passed out in the restroom.

4:55 a.m. – An intoxicated woman called from the 23000 block of Helena Drive to report her husband had hurt her feelings when he complained about dinner.

10:43 a.m. – A woman called from the 15000 block of Allison Ranch Road to report someone was trying to break into her home.

2:46 p.m. – A woman called from the 14000 block of Rollins Park Drive to report a strange woman was wandering on her property.

6:20 p.m. – A security officer from Lake of the Pines called to report a group of men were urinating near the lake.

6:28 p.m. – A man called to report his neighbor on the 12000 block of Rattlesnake Road was walking up and down the driveway ranting and raving about a baseball game for an extended period of time.

9:22 p.m. – A woman called from the 26000 block of Highway 49 to report a group of about 15 people were drinking and throwing their empty beer bottles at a building.

Saturday

10:10 a.m. – A woman called from the 12000 block of Jones Bar Road to report she saw six men in camouflage with either real guns or paint ball guns and wasn’t sure which.

1:58 p.m. – A woman called from the 10000 block of Baker Downs to report a bear was on her property and had knocked over a fence.

2:15 p.m. – A man called from the 11000 block of Forest View Drive to report a Hispanic male had broken into his home and he cut the man with a knife as he escaped.

2:53 p.m. – A woman in the area of Buckeye Road and Greenhorn Creek reported she heard shooting in the area.

3:58 p.m. – A woman on the 10000 block of Robin Avenue reported her neighbor’s girlfriend was drunk and threatened to punch her in the stomach since she was pregnant.

6:08 p.m. – The woman in the above call called back to report her neighbor’s girlfriend was attempting to punch her car as the reporting woman sat inside it. Officers arrested the drunk woman.

7:19 p.m. – A man called from the 10,000 block of Conifer Lane to report a developmentally disabled woman had taken off from her care home by walker and refused to come back. Two people at the home were following her in their cars with the flashers on.

10:12 p.m. – A man on the 11000 block of Dennis Way called to report juveniles were throwing rocks and sticks onto his porch.

11:14 p.m. – A woman called to report someone had flashed a light into her son’s bedroom and had done so before on one previous occasion.

Sunday

4:50 a.m. – Deputies stopped a woman who was walking alongside Highway 49 at Tyler Foote Crossing Road because she was very intoxicated while hitchhiking.

2:47 p.m. – A woman called to report juveniles were smoking marijuana outside of a school on 700 Hoover Lane.

5:33 p.m. – A woman called from a school at 700 Hoover Lane to report a former student was causing trouble at the school’s basketball courts and refused to leave.

Saturday

12:18 a.m. – A man was arrested on the 100 block of North Pine Street for being drunk in public.
