Police Blotter: March 27, 2010
7:50 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a bus shelter had been vandalized.
9:10 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported a deposit bag had fallen down a drain. The caller was transferred to the city’s Public Works Department.
9:56 a.m. – A man from Neal Street reported the Salvation Army had his Zippo cigarette lighter and wouldn’t give it back.
10:08 a.m. – A caller from a business in the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a woman came in the lobby and took a danish. She was allowed to keep the danish, but told not to return.
10:34 a.m. – A woman from a business on Brunswick Road reported a man called and said he was coming to rob the store.
11:20 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man sitting in front of a business drinking a beer. He was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.
2:39 p.m. – A caller from Main and Mill streets reported a man screaming at people.
2:58 p.m. – A caller from a business on East Main Street reported a man disrupting customers and refused to leave. He was admonished.
3:06 p.m. – A woman from Highway 49 and Colfax Avenue reported she thinks someone threw a rock and hit her car.
8:16 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a verbal dispute between a man and a woman. At 10:29 p.m., a caller from the same address reported a physical fight between six or seven people.
10:08 p.m. – A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported two men ripped down a booze fighters sign off the wall and left.
10:36 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Church Street reported a man yelling he was going to kill someone. A man was arrested on suspicion of battery.
10:57 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Church Street reported two unwanted people. A woman was looking for her purse. At 11:23 p.m., a caller reported the woman had come back and was causing a disturbance. She was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and vandalism.
2:19 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Lakeshore North reported a vehicle break-in last night. Items were missing.
3:56 p.m. – A caller from Ready Springs School reported a man riding a motor scooter fast through campus.
4:50 p.m. – A caller from a business on Pleasant Valley Road and Wildwood West Drive reported a man scaring people outside.
5:25 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Carrington Lane reported a large emu running through the neighborhood, in and out of traffic and through yards.
5:28 p.m. – A man from the 11000 block of Alta Vista Avenue reported his girlfriend kicked him and threw food all over the house. Both were drunk. No crime was found to have occurred.
6:33 p.m. – A man from the 20000 block of Purdon Road reported his gate was being repeatedly stolen.
9:02 p.m. – A caller from the 18000 block of Knoll Top Drive reported a person sitting on the front porch, refusing to leave. The person was given a ride.
9:05 p.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Highway 174 reported a garden hose had been turned on and aimed at a gym door. It had been held in place with a brick to flood the interior and had been on for about an hour.
9:35 p.m. – A caller from the 29000 block of Highway 49 reported a man with local warrants was refusing to leave. He had moved on to the property and was scaring everyone. He had been asked to leave the residence and had refused. He was arrested on local warrants and on suspicion of violating probation.
9:47 p.m. – A caller from Woodacre Road and Adamson Drive reported a man walking down the road with a pipe or a crowbar under his jacket. He was given a ride.
1:04 a.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Arctic Close reported a loud party.
4:55 a.m. – A woman from the 23000 block of St. Helena Drive reported her feelings had been hurt earlier over making dinner and wanted the number for the domestic violence coalition.
3:13 p.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Searls Avenue reported hearing a car alarm go off and then seeing a man jump the fence and hide behind a large garbage bin before running and jumping into a vehicle that was waiting on the street. The caller requested extra patrols in the evening.
6:34 p.m. – A woman from the 500 block of Searls Avenue reported the window of her vehicle had been smashed.
