Police blotter: Man reports being hit with sign by Trump supporter

8:46 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a man who seemed to be on drugs came to her door and said she owed him money. He was given a ride to Nevada City.
12:24 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported a group of trimmers might be trespassing in a warehouse. It was being rented as a recording studio.
1:13 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported the attempted theft of about $1,000 in products.
1:26 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Morgan Ranch Drive reported a person came into a garage where the door was open approximately a foot, and rifled through an unlocked vehicle. A neighbor’s vehicle was broken into, with items missing.
1:57 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a small fire in front of a residence.
5:10 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter in custody, who was arrested.
5:35 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick Road and Sutton Way reported he was crossing the street in a wheelchair and a protestor with a “Honk for Trump” sign refused to get out of his way and struck him with the sign.
11:36 p.m. — A caller reported a man was walking around Grass Valley with a loaded firearm. He could not be located.
5:13 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Apple Avenue reported a trespasser came to the door; it was deer.
6:21 a.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Brighton Street reported a possible jumper on the overpass; no one was located.
8:34 a.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of Sutton Way reported a possible fraud.
9:56 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a woman just tried to open a residence’ door and then walked around the back to try and get in. She could not be located.
11:23 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a vehicle had been broken into and items taken.
12:49 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Dorsey Drive reported money, pills and other items had been stolen from her residence.
1:44 p.m. — A man from the 1800 block of East Main Street reported a man hit him in the face; he did not need medical attention.
4:09 p.m. — A caller from Sutton Way and Golden Gate Terrace reported a man and woman in a physical fight. A man was arrested on suspicion of battery on a souse.
4:40 .m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man passed out on the sidewalk, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
6:34 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Washington Street reported a man beating a puppy; the dog was OK.
6:39 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Auburn Street reported an unattended 2-year-old walking along the road; the child was returned to ita mother.
6:49 p.m. — A man from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported having been assaulted by a very drunken woman. She was arrested on suspicion of battery on a spouse.
7:21 p.m. — A caller from East Empire and Pine streets reported three men threw lit fireworks into the street. They could not be located.
3:08 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Harris Street reported a dog barking for eight hours; the dog was being brought in for the night.
4 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Old Tunnel Road reported an overturned vehicle in a ditch, which could not be located.
5:09 a.m. — A man from the 400 block of Mill Street reported a woman assaulted him; he did not need medical attention.

12:01 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Rancho Nogotta Lane reported a neighbor shot the caller’s dog, which required emergency surgery.
12:47 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of East Bennett Road reported a stolen vehicle that already had been recovered in Placer County, with the suspect getting in an accident and being in the hospital.
1:47 p.m. — A caller from Purdons Crossing reported the theft of a $7,000 water machine from a locked car.

8:57 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Brunswick Drive reported a missing man who subsequently was located disoriented on the side of the road and who was getting a ride home from his son.
9:12 p.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported she left her cellphone in her unlocked vehicle like she had sone a million times before, and it was stolen.
9:46 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Francis Drive reported a man and a woman in a physical fight.
11:11 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Vista Avenue reported possible fireworks.
8:50 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road reported a man with face paint jumping into traffic.
10:19 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported two girls, possibly runaways. They were arrested on a number of charges including violating probation, robbery and assault, and taken to juvenile hall.
11:04 a.m. — A caller from Orchard Springs Road and Spring Valley Drive reported all the mailboxes were open and possible had been broken into.
11:09 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Horton Street reported a possible fraud.
11:44 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Lakeshore North reported a man assaulted another man and ripped a phone out of his hands.

12:12 p.m. — A woman from the 19000 block of Wildflower Drive reported a possible scam call with a person threatening to kill her is she doesn’t pay him.
1:47 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Edgewood Lane reported a dog died after jumping out of a vehicle.
2:25 p.m. — A man from the 12000 block of Bloomfield-Graniteville Road requested a tow to get his truck out of telepath nightmare territory.
5:36 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of North Ponderosa Way reported an attempted residential burglary.
5:52 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick and Burma roads reported a truck into a power pole.
7:08 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Pleasant Valley Road reported a fire on the side of the road.
10:29 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Purdon Road reported a man shooting up a residence; a deputy was unable to make contact with anyone.
4:30 a.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Little Valley Road reported yelling and loud music that was turned up after the people were asked to quiet down. They agreed to comply with the deputy.
