Police blotter: Man reported for pocketing stolen cheese

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

8:53 a.m. — A man from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported someone was refusing to give him back his skateboard; he then said he wanted to report a drug incident.



12:14 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bennett Street reported a squatter.

12:55 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole some cheese and put it in his pocket.




3:10 p.m. — A caller from Whiting and South Auburn streets reported a motorhome with trash all around it; a person was cited on unknown charges.

3:17 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported two men stole food and left in a Jeep.

4:23 p.m. — A man from the 100 block of Maryland Drive reported he needed to go to a residence and wanted a standby because his ex-girlfriend had attacked him previously. He called back to say things were civil. At 7:18 p.m., a woman at that address reported a man had broken into a residence. He was arrested on suspicion of battery on a spouse or significant other.

9:50 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a 15-year-old girl had been approached by a man who asked if she was looking for work.

11:01 p.m. — A woman from Candy Lane reported someone was trying to take her window screen off; she requested extra patrols.

2:16 a.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported the theft of a military-issued uniform shirt and a lighter and cigarettes.

8:20 a.m. — A man from the 17000 block of Silver Pine Drive reported items had been stolen from his truck.

11:41 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Glen Meadow Drive reported two men on a roof, possibly setting up a camera in an attic.

12:35 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Melody Road reported credit card fraud, which was found to be a civil issue.

12:43 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Golden Star Road reported the theft of medication from a bathroom in a residence.

3:52 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Brunswick Road reported a fraud.

8:57 p.m. — A woman from Thistle Loop reported a physical altercation regarding an animal issue.

9:44 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sacramento Street reported hearing four shots.

Saturday

1:08 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported the theft of a purse.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Monroe Street reported squatters.

2:54 p.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported two juveniles skateboarding in the pool, who were admonished.

2:55 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Pine Street reported a possible shoplifter.

11:49 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a person threw a rock through the window of a vehicle while it was parked.

Sunday

2:13 a.m. — A caller from Broad and Bridge streets reported an assault. It was a minor fight between friends, one of whom sustained a small laceration.

5:53 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Railroad Avenue reported loud drumming.

11:04 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Spring Street reported a person making a mess in the parking lot; the person was admonished.
