Police blotter: Man demands restraining order against cupcake thief

10:31 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Clark Street reported a neighbor was using a leaf blower as a form of harassment.
10:44 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and East Main Street reported a semi-truck hit a light pole at the roundabout.
11:39 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Scandling Avenue reported the theft of a rear license plate from a vehicle.
1:07 p.m. — A caller from Mill and Neal streets reported a man trying to light a pole on fire. He could not be located.
3:54 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a man tried to shoplift and fled, but the property was recovered.
3:54 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of Mill Street reported three people trespassing in her back yard. A person was arrested on unknown charges.
4:37 p.m. — A caller from Elisabeth Daniels Park reported people smoking marijuana; a person was located who was reading a book.
4:43 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported a stolen vehicle; a be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.
6:52 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported multiple transients camping behind a building.
3:23 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Boulder Street in Nevada City reported a man broke the window and reached into a building. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and loitering.

8:45 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Sky Pines Ridge Road reported possible identity theft.
10:26 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Little Valley Road reported a burglary to an office.
11:30 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Quail View Place requested extra patrols due to ongoing trespassing and thefts in the area.
12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 16000 block of Old Downieville Highway reported vandalism at a residence.
1:49 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Burlington Way reported two people shot a deer; it was found to be a legal kill on private property.
3:45 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Blue Horizon Court reported elder abuse.
5:36 p.m. — A man from Penn Valley demanded a stay-away order and became agitated when informed that restraining orders were issued through the courts, saying he might have been robbed. He called back to report the theft of a cupcake and was advised of the proper use of 911.
6:24 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Pammy Way reported the possible theft of a package from a mailbox.
9:25 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Burma Road reported a person was throwing items at a man, then left.
10:19 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported a neighbor put boulders all over the road.
4:28 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Brewer Road reported a young man tried to enter a residence and tried to open two doors. He then pounded on a door and asked to use the phone.

4 p.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Cement Hill Road reported juveniles throwing rocks at passing cars.
8:35 p.m. — A man from Broad Street reported the theft of a bicycle from a garage.
