Police blotter: Loose dog pepper-sprayed
Nevada County Sheriff’s Department
9:17 a.m. — A caller reported an assault on staff in the 24000 block of Highway 49. The victim left to seek medical attention.
9:55 a.m. — A caller in the 15000 block of Lorie Drive was unsure if her dog, which was attacked by another dog, needed medical treatment.
11 a.m. — A caller reported two dogs running loose in the 14000 block of Sun Forest Drive. One dog charged at someone, who used pepper spray on it.
12:15 p.m. — A woman reported her sister hit her with a broom in the 14000 block of Sun Forest Drive. The woman locked herself in a bedroom.
1:55 p.m. — A purse was stolen from the 12000 block of Ridge Road.
3:41 p.m. — A woman reported her boyfriend was choking her in the 4000 block of Ridge Circle.
5:27 p.m. — A caller reported someone was screaming obscenities in the 10000 block of Cedar Way.
7:10 p.m. — A caller reported a physical altercation in the 14000 block of Magnolia Road. At one point someone was thrown against a wall.
8:57 p.m. — A woman reported her husband assaulted her in the 11000 block of Vinlee Place.
Grass Valley Police Department
9:15 a.m. — A woman reported that it appears someone rummaged through her vehicle in the 200 block of Sutton Way, though nothing appeared missing.
12:47 p.m. — A caller reported a dog was left inside a black Ford F250 with the windows up in the 600 block of Freeman Lane.
2:15 p.m. — A caller reported a baby was left in a Ford F150 in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue.
3:53 p.m. — Reports state a subject started an apartment fire in the 100 block of Dorsey Drive. The apartment is now uninhabitable.
6:30 p.m. — A caller reported she was trying to leave her job in the 900 block of McCourtney Road when a woman began to bang on the door, saying she needed to use the caller’s phone. The caller feared to leave the business.
7:42 p.m. — A caller reported seeing a man hitting a woman while in a vehicle in the 800 block of Sutton Way.

2:15 p.m. — A worker at a Searls Ave. club reported the theft of some equipment over the weekend.
10:59 p.m. — Reports state a person asleep in the doorway of a 400 block Broad Street address appeared intoxicated. That person was arrested, as was another subject who interfered with the police investigation.
