Police blotter: Limo driver cited for attaching items to roof

8:29 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a limo parked in the lot since last night, with the owner refusing to leave. At 10:58 a.m., a caller reported the limo was driving down Penn Valley Drive with stuff mounted to the vehicle, and that stuff was flying off the limo. The driver was cited by the CHP. At 4:11 p.m., a caller reported the man was at Western Gateway Park and seemed suspicious. He had taken apart the structure that had been attached to the limo and stored it in the vehicle.

9:59 a.m. — A caller from Nevada Union High School reported a man with a metal detector digging holes in the baseball field. He was learning how to use a metal detector.

10:49 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a person breaking windows.

12:09 p.m. — A caller from the 26000 block of Highway 49 reported a power line was down.

12:58 p.m. — A caller reported an assault last night in the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive.

2:06 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Linnet Court reported a woman had stolen his weapons.

2:43 p.m. — A caller from Norvin Way and Dog Bar Road reported four horses were out of water. A notice was posted.

6:32 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Gracie Road reported someone tried to break into a rental.

7:03 p.m. — A caller from Lower Colfax and Laws Ranch Cross roads reported a man and a woman in a physical fight. They could not be located.

10:25 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Bitney Springs Road reported a woman was kidnapped by her husband, who forcibly put her in a vehicle and was driving to Rocklin. Placer County Sheriff’s deputies detained the vehicle and the report was unfounded.


2:05 a.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Cedar Springs Road reported someone strange in his residence. He called back to say he was sorry, it was a friend. Both were drunk and were going to bed. At 2:59 a.m., he called back to say he was by himself, but someone was in his house and he didn’t know who; he seemed extremely drunk. He did not answer the door when a deputy arrived.

4:15 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Footwall Drive reported people causing a ruckus. They were watching a movie inside a vehicle and were moving on.

1:02 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a shoplifter.

11:09 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a fight.


2:53 a.m. — A caller from Boulder and Sacramento streets reported loud music; nothing was located.

5:48 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Main Street reported a transient has been sleeping on the auditorium steps.

12:21 p.m. — A caller from Main and Cottage streets reported a man threw a rock at a car window.

9:49 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Lindley Avenue reported a gunshot or firecracker. It was a person lighting a cannon.


8:46 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Long Street reported the theft of gas by siphoning from a truck.
