Police blotter: Lack of beer prompts 911 call

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:20 a.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Presley Way reported a very aggressive panhandler causing traffic issues and making women very uncomfortable. He could not be located.



9:17 a.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported a large fire.

11:02 a.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported graffiti in the barbecue area.




11:25 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported the theft of $380 in cash from a business.

11:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Litton Drive reported vandalism to a restroom.

3:10 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man assaulted a baby; a report was taken.

Tuesday

12:53 a.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth Way reported a woman trying to sleep in a laundry room.

1:24 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported the theft of a vehicle.

5:10 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported a large man screaming and yelling. At 5:16 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported a man outside banging on a door and yelling to be let in. He said he wanted to commit suicide by cop, then left on foot. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued for the man, who might have been armed with a knife; he was located.

8:49 a.m. — A caller from Chicago Park reported a herd of emaciated alpacas.

10:16 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of School Street reported a neighbor blaring music non-stop.

3:09 p.m. — A caller from Horton Street and Penn valley Drive reported two saddled horses running down the bike path. They could not be located.

3:47 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Long Valley Road reported a possible fraudulent check.

4:17 p.m. — A woman from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported her boss didn’t bring her enough beer. She was counseled on the proper use of 911.

5:46 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported the theft of medication.

10:47 p.m. — A caller from Gold Flat and Pittsburg roads reported a woman throwing large rocks at a man.

11:50 p.m. — A man from the 17000 block of Lawrence Way reported people refusing to leave. A woman reported at 12:26 a.m. that a man tried to run her over during an argument. A woman was arrested on outstanding warrants.

11:16 a.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported people causing a disturbance and smoking drugs.

5:32 p.m. — A man reported his vehicle was broken into and a paycheck was stolen.

7:28 p.m. — A caller from Zion Street reported a drunken man throwing items and breaking cabinets.

Tuesday

12:30 a.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported a person wearing a cross sweatshirt looking in cars; the person could not be located.
