Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

11:45 a.m. – A caller from French Avenue requested contact with an officer regarding ongoing issues with a neighbor.



1:43 p.m. – A caller from a business on Sierra College Drive reported a dog locked in a vehicle in the heat of the day. Officers contacted the owner, who was having vehicle problems and agreed to keep the dog outside of the vehicle.

2:27 p.m. – A caller from a business on the 700 block of West Main Street reported a man with a camera appeared to be watching a staff member and a client. Responding officers found the man had left.




5:27 p.m. – A caller reported three youths smoking marijuana on the playground at Hennessy School. Officers were unable to locate them.

7:10 p.m. – A caller from a business on the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a boy was in the establishment looking for someone who stole his iPod, and he was refusing to leave. Officers contacted the juvenile, who said a girl had stolen it. Officers were unable to locate the girl.

8:37 p.m. – A caller from the 400 block of West Main Street reported a possible stalker. Officers took a case report.

9:20 p.m. – A business on Taylorville Road reported a person found a suitcase and brought it into the lobby.

9:43 p.m. – Contact was made with a man on the 100 block of South Auburn Street. Officers arrested him on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and booked him into Wayne Brown Correctional Center.

Tuesday

12:49 a.m. – A female driver was pulled over at Mills and Main streets and arrested for driving under the influence. She was booked into county jail, and her vehicle was towed.

1:58 a.m. – Officers came upon a man parked on Crown Point Circle. The man said he had parked there to sober up, and officers determined he was clear-headed enough to drive.

Monday

8:16 a.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Magnolia Road reported someone had broken water hoses, slashed tires of a lawn mower and damaged a swimming pool.

9:37 a.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Morningside Way reported receiving numerous harassing and threatening calls from her sister.

11:48 a.m. – A caller from the 21000 block of Oak Ridge Drive reported a neighbor trespassing on the property. The caller said the neighbor has been cautioned about trespassing several times. The caller was given information about how to get a restraining order.

1:12 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported a burglary at an office.

3:37 p.m. — Officers arrested a 54-year-old man on the 16000 block of Brooks Road on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, hypodermic needles, controlled substance paraphernalia and being under the influence of controlled substance. He was booked into and released from the Nevada County jail.

5:09 p.m. – A caller from the 17000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a woman had fallen from a height of six to eight feet onto the rocks at Bridgeport. The call was transferred to Calfire.

5:45 p.m. — Officers arrested a 38-year-old man on the 18000 block of Greenhorn Road on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, transporting or selling conrolled substance, committing a felony while on bail, possessing a hypodermic needle, driving on a suspended license and modification of a weapon. He was booked into the Nevada County jail.

6:02 p.m. — Officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance without prescription and possessing tobacco under the age of 18, on the 17000 block of Huckleberry Drive, after he burglarized a residence . He was booked into juvenile hall.

7:18 p.m. – A woman from the 13000 block of Heigen Court reported her son slapped her and was vandalizing the house.

8:36 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Gayle Lane reported her juvenile child has been receiving sexually explicit e-mails from a 20-year-old man.

9:29 p.m. – Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on Rough and Ready Highway on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and violating probation and booked him into county jail.

11:42 p.m. – Officers arrested a 46-year-old man on Mooney Flat Road on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving under the influence, and booked him into jail.

11:49 p.m. — Officers arrested a 39-year-old man on the 12000 block of Pine Cone Circle on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance and possessing a firearm. Officers arrested a 37-year-old woman at the same location on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substance and possessing controlled substance. Both were booked into the county jail.
