Police blotter: July 29, 2008
11:42 p.m. – A caller reported a 4-year-old child was left alone and standing outside a Grass Valley bar while the two adults responsible argued and took turns going inside the bar.
2:07 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Upper Slate Creek Road reported a prowler moving around in front of the residence who was repeatedly frightened off by a sensor light.
n 5:15 a.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Clark Street reported a man yelling outside the house.
7:11 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Sutton Way advised that she caught and trapped a feral cat.
12:34 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man walking around a mobile home park carrying what appeared to be a large rifle. Upon contact, the man was found to be shooting a pellet gun at a squirrel.
2:34 p.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Sutton Way requested extra patrols during graveyard hours in front of a local business after a possible attempted burglary that occurred the night before.
3:58 p.m. – A caller from Joerschke Drive reported two brand-new girls’ bicycles in the roadway.
4:15 p.m. – A person in the lobby reported a stolen laptop computer.
6:18 p.m. – A caller from West Main Street reported a physical disruption of the peace near Sierra College.
7:59 p.m. – A caller from Bank Street reported two men and one woman, possibly underage, drinking alcohol down by the creek.
8:47 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Northstar Place reported someone “ran over” mailboxes.
10:36 p.m. – A caller eastbound on Highway 20 reported two motorcycles driving 90 mph to 100 mph near the fairgrounds.
9 a.m. – A caller from the 600 block of Butler Street reported a stop sign had been turned around and is facing the wrong way.
4:53 p.m. – A woman from the 14000 block of Paul’s Place reported that her ex-boyfriend was in the house and was refusing to leave. The woman reported having weapons in the residence. A man could be heard yelling in the background. The sheriff’s office received another call from a neighbor saying the situation was escalating.
5:25 p.m. – A woman from the 18000 block of Foxtail Drive wanted officers to contact her regarding a possible violation of a child custody order.
5:46 p.m. – A man from the 10000 block of Adam Avenue reported his son was refusing to come home with him. He said he had custody of the child and had a copy of the order with him.
6:13 p.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a bus had been damaged.
6:37 p.m. – A woman from the 10000 block of Silver Way reported an unknown woman in her 40s or 50s came into her house and was looking for an unknown person while the caller was in the bathroom. On being questioned by the caller, the intruder left in an unknown vehicle.
9:27 p.m. – A caller from the 14000 block of Peaceful Meadow Lane reported a rollover accident.
2:58 a.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Sunset Way reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway.
5:40 a.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Peninsula Drive reported hearing a gunshot.
6:49 p.m. – A man called from Nimrod Street to report his vehicle was hit in the rear by another vehicle.
