Grass Valley Police Department


10:11 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported some people had been arguing loudly in the area since the early morning hours. Responding officers calmed a man and a woman at a nearby residence and told the man to leave or be arrested for trespassing. He agreed to go.

10:37 a.m. – A voluntary vehicle repossession was reported to the department from the 200 block of Sutton Way.

11:38 a.m. – A two-vehicle crash occurred at East Main Street and Sierra College Drive. Officers took an accident report.

12:54 p.m. – A Dumpster fire reported on the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive was out when officers arrived.

2:08 p.m. – A caller advised that a reckless, young, girl driver ran her off the road while driving in Grass Valley and then made hand gestures at her like she wanted to shoot the caller. The caller’s husband was two cars behind and followed the driver but lost her when she started passing vehicles on the right side of the road. Officers took a report and are looking for the young driver.

3:11 p.m. – A caller reported she lost a pink Razr cell phone and wanted to be called if it was located.

4:22 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported her son was out of control. When officers arrived, she didn’t want to pursue the matter further.

7:17 p.m. – A person in the lobby of the police department reported an ongoing case of harassment. Officers filed a report.


12:22 a.m. – A 911 caller from the 500 block of Partridge Road hung up and when an officer called back, she reported she was having an argument with her husband but would not provide details. Responding officers reported the man left voluntarily for the evening.

4:49 a.m. – A delivery man on Nevada City Highway discovered a propane tank leak. Calfire responded and closed a valve.

2:44 p.m. – A woman from the 13000 block of Greenhorn Road reported her neighbors were breaking into her house and stealing her clothes and hair ties.

4:35 p.m. – A caller from the 16000 block of Joey Court reported a propane fire on the deck. The fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.

9:00 p.m. – A woman from the 14000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported she was walking home with her dogs when a pit bull terrier attempted to attack her. The pit bull’s owner then said he’d come after her if didn’t get out of the area. The pit bull didn’t bite the woman or her dogs, the woman said.

10:50 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Deer Park Drive reported an argument with a former co-worker whom she had allowed to stay at her residence. The woman said her co-worker was drunk and was refusing to leave.

1:18 p.m. – A caller from the 800 block of Zion Street reported a man stacking wood on the caller’s property. The man appeared to be drunk, the caller said.

4:52 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Pine Street reported an illegally parked vehicle at the caller’s address.
