Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

6:11 a.m. – A vehicle was repossessed on the 200 block of Horizon Circle.



10:59 a.m. – A traffic stop on East Main Street resulted in a man being cited and released on suspicion of violating a court order because he was not supposed to be with the woman who was in the car.

2:05 p.m. – A caller from a business on the 600 block of Freeman Lane reported a man in custody. Officers cited the man for petty theft.




3:01 p.m. – A caller reported two young men drinking by Wolf Creek. Officers located the men and cited and released one of them on suspicion of falsely representing himself and violating probation.

3:56 p.m. – A caller reported a reckless driver on Highway 49 near Alta Sierra Drive going about 100 mph. The CHP was called, but all units were busy and could not respond.

4:35 p.m. – A woman came into the police department to report a couple had assaulted her. An officer took a report for battery.

5:49 p.m. – Youths were reported throwing water balloons on North School Street. Officers were unable to locate them.

6:52 p.m. – A caller advised of a possible road rage incident on East Main Street near Presley Way. An officer was advised.

7:38 p.m. – A caller from the 600 block of Kechely Court reported a neighbor revving his engine for the previous 30 minutes. The caller asked the police to quiet the noise for the night.

9:27 p.m. – Officers took a report for a vehicle burglary on the 300 block of Sutton Way.

11:15 p.m. – A fight between four individuals at Condon Park was broken up by officers, who took statements from the people for a follow-up investigation.

Tuesday

11:04 a.m. – A traffic stop resulted in a man being cited and released on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

11:05 a.m. – A person came into the police station to report a man violating a court order. Officers took a report.

11:39 a.m. – A woman said she lost her purse after shopping on West McKnight Way because she put it on top of her car and drove off. The woman said she would like to be contacted if the purse were found.

Monday

9:06 a.m. – A woman called from the 10000 block of Bartlett Drive requesting officers to contact her by phone regarding the theft of some items from her vehicle.

9:36 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway requested contact by officers regarding the theft of a weapon from the caller’s residence over the weekend.

9:48 a.m. – A man from the 13000 block of Edgewood Drive said he needed officers to accompany him to an empty house. The renters of the house had moved out, and the man was afraid to enter the residence alone.

10:14 a.m. – A caller from the 18000 block of Blackhawk Court reported the theft of a wedding ring and a birth certificate.

12:00 p.m. – A caller from the 21000 block of Pioneer Way reported being harassed by an ex-employee. Officers contacted the woman who was being accused. She said she had called her former employer to get information from her personnel file.

1:07 p.m. – A woman from the 11000 block of Redwing Court reported that her garage had been vandalized.

2:06 p.m. – A caller from a business on the 19000 block of Highway 174 reported a man and a woman trying to make a purchase using a 1934 $20 bill. They were trying to convince the store owner the bill was worth more than $20 now. The caller requested log entry only.

5:28 p.m. – A man from Highway 174 reported his vehicle had been broken into at Bear River bridge during the afternoon. His wallet was stolen from the vehicle.

5:37 p.m. – A caller from the 15000 block of Brewer Road reported people selling meat out of the back of a truck, probably without a license.

8:26 p.m. – A caller from Piper Lane requested a welfare check on a neighbor with cardiac problems. The caller said the neighbor’s dog was stuck in a ditch on the caller’s property and the neighbor hadn’t been seen in the last few days.

10:08 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Lakeshore North reported someone had stolen some children’s toys from the yard.

Tuesday

1:34 a.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a welfare check on the caller’s daughter. The daughter has a prior history of domestic violence with her boyfriend and wasn’t getting along with him today, the caller said.

2:58 a.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Slate Creek Road reported a vehicle in her driveway and the lights on in her house. The woman said there shouldn’t be anyone in her house, as she was returning home after three months.

Monday

7:19 p.m. – A caller from a business on the 300 block of Broad Street reported someone stealing beer.

11:39 p.m. – A woman from the 600 block of Searls Avenue reported a loud party at her neighbor’s residence. She said she had asked the people to quiet down, but they weren’t complying.
