Police Blotter: Ghostly footsteps in Nevada City hotel

Monday

10:33 a.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Brunswick Road reported hitting a man in a wheelchair. He requested medical attention.



1:52 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported the theft of items.

3:24 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported the theft of groceries.




5:56 p.m. — A caller from Mill Street and French Avenue reported a man who seemed disoriented and fell and who said he didn’t know where he was. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

6:11 p.m. — A caller from Melissa Court reported possible animal cruelty.

6:21 p.m. — A man from the 400 block of Sutton Way reported a vehicle had been broken into.

6:28 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported vandalism to a vehicle.

7:23 p.m. — A caller from Clark Street and Florence Avenue reported two very drunken men stumbling down the street, who could not be located.

8:54 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Brighton Street reported a physical fight.

11:41 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a woman shoplifted.

6:07 a.m. — A man from North School and Ivy streets reported being stalked by a person in a vehicle; no one was located.

8:07 a.m. — An assault victim from the 10000 block of Newtown Road was being treated in the hospital.

9:43 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Mayflower Drive reported a theft.

9:46 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported a theft.

11:11 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Scarlett Oaks Road reported two horses possibly being neglected.

1:20 p.m. — A dog versus coyote attack was reported.

3:30 p.m. — A woman from the 17000 block of Highway 49 reported a dispute with a man over a vehicle; she said he pushed her.

5:25 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Ball Road reported a neighbor’s dog killed her cat in her garage.

7:16 p.m. — A caller from the 21000 block of Sunnyside Lane reported an elderly neighbor was missing. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.

Tuesday

12:11 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Sunrise Road reported promiscuous shooting at night.

6:50 a.m. — A caller from King Arthur Court reported aerial fireworks.

4:21 a.m. — A caller from Broad Street reported possible trespassers inside a hotel after hearing footsteps and doors opening and closing. No one was located.
