Police blotter: Flaming bags of excrement

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

9:01 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported possible drug dealing.



10:09 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported ongoing drug and illegal activity.

10:26 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a very aggressive panhandler who knocked on a car window.




12:46 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported finding a loaded 9mm pistol.

1:13 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South School Street reported a man involved in a drug deal with pills; he could not be located.

6:07 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland Road and Centennial Drive reported a possible mountain lion injured in the road.

8:36 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported an assault, but did not need medical attention.

3:41 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man breaking into cars; he could not be located.

Wednesday

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Somerset Drive reported identity theft.

1:29 p.m. — A woman from the 19000 block of Buckboard Road reported someone shot a goose over her hear and hit her power line.

1:30 p.m. — A caller from Deadmans Flat reported a man dumping about 20 tires.

2:06 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported being slapped by a person to whom he was serving divorce papers.

3:05 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Bonanza Way reported vandalism to gates.

5:08 p.m. — A woman from Barde Court reported a man took her phone in a physical altercation. No crime was found and he was leaving.

7:47 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Alta Vista Avenue reported a flaming bag of excrement on her front porch.

10:25 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported hearing several booms in the area, possibly someone setting off M-80s. The remains of the fireworks were located in the middle of the road.

3:49 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported a person banging on a back door. No one was located.

1:46 p.m. — A caller from Coyote Street reported gas had been siphoned from vehicles.

6:04 p.m. — A caller from Old Downieville Highway reported a person displayed a firearm in a threatening manner; it was in a box, but the person opened the box.

8:54 p.m. — A caller from York and North Pine streets reported the theft of a Mikita drill from an unlocked vehicle.
