Police Blotter: Extra patrols due to transients, juveniles ditching school

Monday

7:24 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and Idaho-Maryland Road reported a school bus accident; no children were on board and there were no injuries being reported.



8:49 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Washington Street reported a theft occurred during a garage sale.

9:35 a.m. — A caller from Slate Creek and Ridge roads reported the theft of a gas card from an elderly man.




9:56 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported receiving counterfeit bills from a bank.

10:01 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Church Street reported the theft of items from a church.

10:06 a.m. — A caller reported the possible theft of a vehicle from Bank Street.

10:15 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a man in the business holding a pocket knife and refusing to put it away.

12:03 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Mill Street reported a shoplifter.

2:40 p.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a person refusing to pay their cab fare. A person was given a ride to the hospital.

7:05 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of Sierra College Drive reported a person slapped his face while he was playing the violin. He was not injured, and the suspect left. He was waiting for contact in front of the business, playing his violin.

9:58 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Mount Olive Road reported shooting for three hours.

10:52 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Cottontail Way reported a cat stuck in a tree.

12:19 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Brunswick Road reported that a video showed a man siphoning gas, taking fuel cans and hiding them in the bushes.

12:23 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Indian Springs Road reported two dogs had attacked a feral goat.

2:02 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Highway 49 reported the theft of equipment.

4:21 p.m. — A caller from Union Hill School reported a 10-year-old was possibly assaulted by a teacher.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from Daniels Way and East Lime Kiln Road reported the theft of a backpack by a person driving a van.

9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Rodeo Way reported a physical fight with items being thrown.
