Police blotter: Driver arrested on DUi charges after solo wreck

Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

11:40 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of East Main Street reported a man screaming that he was going to kill someone. He was yelling at a video game.



11:45 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Bank Street reported the theft of a wallet that fell out of his pocket.

12:18 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of East Main Street reported a man refusing to leave, who had a nail is his hand and who said he was Jesus. He also was panhandling. He was advised to keep it down and not cause issues.




1:53 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported someone took cash from the register and picked the lock.

3:20 p.m. — A man reported his wife or girlfriend was mad, and he wanted her removed.

3:31 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Glenwood Road reported a burglary to an outbuilding.

4:07 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a car; it was located in Nevada City.

5:24 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man stole a large bottle of ibuprofen.

5:44 p.m. — A woman from the 500 block of Freeman Lane reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle.

Monday

4:22 a.m. — A caller from the 1200 block of Sutton Way reported a woman refusing to pay her taxi fare; no charges were requested.

Sunday

9:33 a.m. — A man reported having been assaulted by a person who sideswiped his vehicle and then came after him with a crowbar.

10:47 a.m. — A caller from Ridge Road and Rough and Ready Highway reported a man with a truck throwing items at the roadway and screaming. At 11:05 a.m., a caller reported a person kicking dirt at cars and throwing bibles into the road.

12:55 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Hard Rock Road reported a head-on accident.

12:59 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Odyssey Way reported a vehicle went off the road.

2:59 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Nipinnawasee Road reported finding a pistol and other items.

3:09 p.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and White Oak reported a vehicle off the road.

6:55 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Red Dog Road reported hearing 15 to 20 gunshots; nothing was located.

Friday

12:33 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a dog had been tied up outside and barking for 30 minutes, and requested the dog be made to quiet or move along, or she would shoot it. The dog was gone when an officer arrived.

12:39 p.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a man trying to charge people two extra dollars to park, claiming open spaces are “valet” and yelling at people when they refuse to pay him. He was gone when an officer arrived.

Saturday

2:32 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a drunken man trying to put hands on everyone. He was getting a ride home.

11:45 a.m. — A caller from Pittsburg and Gold Flat roads reported an illegal political sign screwed onto a pole.

12:16 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Zion Street reported the theft of a bag of groceries.

12:44 p.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported a fight involving a woman and three men. A man was arrested on suspicion of battery on a spouse and violating a restraining order.

2:40 p.m. — A caller from Nevada Street reported the theft of a vehicle. It had been towed earlier that morning from the scene of an accident on Rock Creek and Lake Vera roads.

7:18 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Woodpecker Lane reported a chimney fire.

10:34 p.m. — A caller from Broad and South Pine streets reported a vehicle speeding up and down the street, which could not be located.

10:35 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported drums and whistles. They agreed to quiet down for the night.

Sunday

1:53 a.m. — A caller from Highway 49 and West Broad Street reported an overturned vehicle. A woman was injured and taken to the hospital, where she refused treatment. A man was treated at the hospital and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury, driving on a suspended license and violating probation.

3:15 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Grove Street reported a loud party.

4:53 p.m. — A woman from the trail at Grass Valley Group reported an unleashed pit bull attacked her dog and also attacked her.

5:15 p.m. — A caller from North Pine and Church streets reported a man lying on the ground, bashing his head. He was taken to the hospital.

Monday

12:35 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of Nile Street reported a woman threw ice cream at him. The situation was mediated.
