Police blotter: Dismantled Christmas deer reported

Friday

8:04 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 900 block of La Barr Meadows Road reported a man sleeping on an upstairs deck. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and violating probation, as well as four misdemeanor warrants.



9:27 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Oak Street reported squatters.

10:18 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a man drinking liquor outside, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant.




10:22 a.m. — A caller from the hospital reported finding drug materials in a room.

11:18 am. — A caller from the 700 block of West Main Street reported a student assaulted a staff member.

12:07 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported finding needles on the lawn, which were collected for destruction.

1:55 p.m. — A woman reported a man jumped her, held her down and punched her in the face. He was arrested on suspicion of battery, child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon.

2:02 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Mill Street reported scam phone calls, emails and text messages.

5:02 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Brunswick Road reported transients with tents; they were advised to avoid private property.

7:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man sleeping in front of a residence, who could not be located.

7:44 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Old Tunnel Road reported two men trying to break into a side door of an apartment.

9:45 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a man lying in a doorway.

12:51 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter left behind drug material.

3:44 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Stennett Street reported two men smoking meth, and a drug transaction.

8:06 a.m. — A caller from Alta Street and Linden Avenue reported a man on a bicycle possibly casing the area, who had a large knife or hatchet in his waistband. He was gone when an officer arrived.

10:11 a.m. — A caller from City Hall reported a man threatening people with a box cutter; he could not be located. At 10:40 a.m., a caller reported the man was walking up Race Street, but he could not be located.

12:21 p.m. — A caller from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported vandalism to a residence.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Penstock Drive reported a theft.

1:16 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Berryman Street reported two people possibly exchanging stolen items for drugs. They could not be located.

1:19 p.m. — A caller from East Main Street and Idaho-Maryland Road reported a man charged another man and pulled out a large knife or box cutter. A man was cited on suspicion of brandishing a weapon.

2:36 p.m. — A caller from Pine Street and Fiddick Lane reported a woman looking into cars.

4:19 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a shoplifter.

5:37 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Pine Lane reported people smoking meth in a garage and basement; no signs of drug activity were found.

6:38 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter; extra patrols were requested.

8:07 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Bank Street reported three gunshots.

10:12 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Henderson Street reported juveniles drinking in the parking lot.

2:55 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Second Street reported someone possibly selling drugs.

6:14 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick Road and Plaza Drive reported giving a ride to a man and a woman, who stole a laptop from the vehicle.

6:44 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a woman stole items, but dropped them as she was leaving the store.

8:13 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Olympia Park Road reported a woman trying to rip a TV off the wall and talking in voices.

9:35 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Neal Street reported a trespasser, who was cited.

9:59 p.m. — A caller reported a woman trying to hurt a baby; a woman was arrested on suspicion of battery and attempted assault with great bodily injury.

11:25 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Pine Street reported a man in a truck possibly casing the neighborhood.

10:58 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Brooks Road reported the theft of an iPhone.

10:58 a.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Gary Way reported a Christmas deer in the front yard had been dismantled.

11:14 a.m. — A man from Highway 49 and old State Highway 49 reported he was possibly shot at while driving.

11:43 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive requested extra patrols due to transients.

11:57 a.m. — A caller from Bear River High School reported the theft of a phone.

1:57 p.m. — A caller from the fairgrounds reported a window had been broken by rocks.

4:33 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Horseshoe Lane reported eBay fraud.

5:09 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a man hit a woman; she did not need medical attention. He was arrested on suspicion of battery on a spouse.
