Police blotter: Creepy clown reportedly chased girls with knife

Wednesday

7:54 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of East Main Street reported a rental vehicle had not been returned.



8:32 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported finding a needle, which was picked up for destruction.

8:42 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported an attempted break-in.




8:45 a.m. — A man from the 200 block of Fairmont Drive reported the theft of Ray-Ban sunglasses from an unlocked vehicle.

9:01 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Neal Street reported a back window was broken.

9:48 a.m. — A caller from South Auburn and Tinloy streets reported a vehicle accident with minor injuries.

10:12 a.m. — A caller from the 1100 block of East Main Street reported the theft of a rear license plate.

11:47 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of East Main Street reported a driver ran into an ice machine and broke the water line.

11:47 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Glenbrook Drive reported a vicious dog.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Colfax Avenue requested extra patrols due to finding trash, fecal matter and hypodermic needles on the premises.

4:49 p.m. — A woman from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported having been attacked by a person who then left the scene.

5:57 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man stole a pair of shoes.

6 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland Road and Sutton Way reported illegal dumping.

6:59 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a man stoke a speaker box and ice cream, then left on a bicycle.

9:10 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man walking up and down the aisles, stealing items. Two people were cited on suspicion of shoplifting, and a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and resisting arrest, as well as on a =n outstanding warrant.

8:36 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Polaris Drive reported finding an arrow in a horse pasture.

8:53 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Footwall Drive reported a credit card scam with a man trying to hire a dance instructor, but needs to get cash first.

9:03 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Lost Lake Road reported a neighbor with six aggressive put bulls that are jumping the fence.

9:08 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of School Street reported multiple transient camps.

9:15 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Oak Drive reported a missing or stolen shotgun.

9:23 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Personeni Lane reported the theft of a log splitter, skil saw and air compressor hose.

9:54 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Little Deer Creek Lane reported the theft of a purse from an unlocked vehicle.

11:45 a.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Piper Hill Drive reported a woman was refusing to let him leave, then was chasing him down the driveway with a bat and a 2×4. A civil standby was completed.

2:05 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road reported a theft from the fairgrounds.

2:39 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Evergreen Drive reported the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle.

2:48 p.m. — A caller reported two girls walking from Lyman Gilmore School had been chased by a man wearing a clown mask and carrying a knife.

2:58 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Evergreen Place reported two unlocked vehicles had been gone through.

3:39 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Wolf Drive reported vandalism to a chain on a gate.

5:10 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 and Penn Valley Drive reported a car on fire.

5:44 p.m. — A caller from Auburn and Hidden Valley roads reported a man in camo in the bushes with a rifle. He was a hunter on BLM land.

6:07 p.m. — A woman was contacted on Highway 20 and Mill Street who was attempting to resuscitate an imaginary deceased mountain lion.

7:09 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Auburn Road reported hearing a gunshot.

10:06 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Rattlesnake Road reported a trash can on fire.

9:32 a.m. — A caller from Airport Road reported trespassers on the old airport property cutting down oak trees and then returning for the wood.

11 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of Argall Way reported the theft of produce from the delivery dock.

10:30 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a man lying on the sidewalk, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.

Thursday

12:46 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of Broad Street reported a person stole two room keys and would not come out. The situation was mediated.
