Police blotter: Caller reports trespassing Jehovah’s witnesses

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:18 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Brunswick Road reported a man passed out or dead by a dumpster. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation.



8:50 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sutton Way reported a man sleeping at the foot of a stairwell, refusing to leave. He was gone when an officer arrived.

10:52 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Empire Street reported ongoing vandalism issues.




11:49 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported people throwing trash into the creek.

1:13 p.m. — Several callers reported a woman walking on Highway 49 near the Empire Street exit.

2:46 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick and Idaho-Maryland roads reported a transient camp.

3:15 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Joerschke Drive reported the theft of items from a room.

3:22 p.m. — A woman from the 1400 block of East Main Street reported a man punched her in the face. He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

4:06 p.m. — A woman from the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported a man forced his way into her apartment by pushing her, and took a computer.

6:18 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a stolen phone.

7:42 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Main Street reported a shirtless yelling man.

4:55 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Idaho-Maryland Road reported a possible prowler.

8:03 a.m. — A caller from Bear River High School reported a suspicious man with a bandanna covering his face, carrying poles.

9:40 a.m. — A caller from a school reported possible child abuse.

10:34 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Norager Way reported the theft of checks via mail.

11:28 a.m. — A caller from South Ponderosa Way reported the theft of items from an elderly man with dementia.

1:32 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Road reported embezzled funds.

2:49 p.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Rosewood Road reported vandalism to a residence.

3:44 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tammy Way reported a vehicle drove onto a front lawn, did doughnuts and then drove off.

3:46 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Harmony Ridge Road reported hearing gunshots late at night.

4:21 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Loma Rica Drive reported a person driving a vehicle with a trailer stole gray and yellow steel and took off.

4:55 p.m. — A man from the 19000 block of Scotts Flat Road wanted advice about filing a formal complaint against Jehovah’s witnesses who constantly trespass on his property.

6:17 p.m. — A caller from Norlene and Tippy ways reported a vehicle hit a power pole.

12:49 a.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Perimeter Road reported a possible prowler.

3:37 p.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported people smoking marijuana inside a truck. Two wee cited on suspicion of having open containers.

8:52 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Nevada City Highway reported a shirtless screaming man. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
