Police blotter: Caller reports flock of goats

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

3:36 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Bank Street reported two trespassers. Both were cited on suspicion of trespassing and one was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.



8:21 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported wheels had been stolen off a vehicle in the parking lot last night.

12:42 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported two men stole a jacket and other items from a store. No stolen property was located and they were admonished against trespassing.




1:19 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1300 block of East Main Street reported a television and stereo sound bar were stolen from a trailer.

2:03 p.m. — A caller from Mill and Bank streets reported three dogs in a parked vehicle for several hours; the dogs had broken one of the windows. The dogs were not in distress and had water.

3:29 p.m. — A caller from Condon Park reported finding pill bottles and razor blades in the women’s bathroom.

4:58 p.m. — A caller from East Main and Richardson streets reported a very large pothole in the road.

5:05 p.m. — A caller from Rockwood Drive and Hughes Road reported a vehicle possible casing the neighborhood.

5:09 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Joerschke Drive reported the theft of car keys from a pocket.

5:56 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 200 block of West Main Street reported a man and woman possibly on drugs who were passed out on the back porch. They were moving on.

7:28 p.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported two men doing a drug deal; they could not be located.

7:48 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported a man asking where he could buy meth, who had meth and paraphernalia on him.

11:15 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a man trying to lure her into a vehicle.

Monday

9:07 a.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley Road at Bridgeport state park reported a 300-pound rock blocking the road.

9:07 a.m. — A caller from Highway 174 and Shebley Road requested a welfare check on a horse with no cover, in a tiny pen covered in mud. The owner was advised to lay some straw down.

9:18 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Cedar Way reported a flock of goats.

9:28 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Lower Colfax Road reported a neighbor dumping salt on trees.

9:49 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Chanterelle Lane reported a person cutting down trees, who said they were told to do so by the fire department.

10:19 a.m. — A caller from Mockingbird Way reported an illegal grow.

10:56 a.m. — A caller from the 22000 block of Wild Canary Road reported two unchained huskies trying to get other animals to fight.

11:49 a.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway and Skyline Drive reported a truck into a tree and a ditch, with no injuries.

12 p.m. — A caller from Red Quartz Lane reported tenants moved out and left three or four cats and a dog behind.

1:36 p.m. — A caller from Banner Lava Cap and Old Tunnel roads reported a large amount of dumped mail.

3:55 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Oak Canyon Drive reported trespassers, who were issued a warning.

7:42 p.m. — A caller from Alta Street and Alta Mine Road reported hearing gunshots and screaming. No shots were found to have been fired; a person was arrested on outstanding warrants.

7:57 p.m. — A woman reported bailing someone out of jail and then they drove off without her.

10:38 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Noel Lane reported an elderly man in the front yard asking for work, who doesn’t know his name or where he came from. A report was taken for referral to Adult Protective Services.

11:28 p.m. — A caller from Red Dog Road and Jasper Agate Court reported a woman wearing many garments, staggering across the road; she could not be located.

Friday

9:01 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported men climbing a building’s scaffolding.

Saturday

8:16 a.m. — A caller from West Broad Street and Chief Kelly Drive reported a man in the middle of the street, yelling, pulling his pants down and mooning people. At 8:20 a.m., he was reported to be lying in the middle of the road. At 8:30 a.m., A person reported having picked the man up earlier and he said he had just been released from jail and needed to commit a crime. He was given a ride.

12:53 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported finding drugs.

Sunday

2:53 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Main Street reported a possibly drunken woman who was half-clothed.

Monday

1:36 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a woman had been assaulted by a man and went to the emergency room.

9:50 a.m. — A woman from the 400 block of Broad Street reported the possible theft of an iPad.

4:23 p.m. — A caller from Wyoming Road and Monroe Street reported two men possibly shooting up; they could not be located.

5:35 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Broad Street reported a woman going nuts, who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
