Police blotter: Caller reports assault involving cactus

Wednesday

8:13 a.m. — A caller from Hansen Way and Bennett Street reported a fire.



8:55 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Whispering Pines Lane reported tie-down straps and a tow receiver were stolen from a vehicle.

9:24 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Rockwood Drive reported a vehicle burglary.




9:29 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of South Church Street reported ongoing transient issues.

10:10 a.m. — A caller from Maidu Lane and Glenwood Road reported a mailbox had been broken into.

11:08 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West Main Street reported people camping behind a business and leaving trash.

11:28 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Buena Vista Street reported finding several dumped purses.

1:15 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive reported the theft of a Playstation and other items.

2:39 p.m. — A caller from Sierra College and Litton drives reported a woman lying in traffic. She then was directing traffic. Another caller reported she was waving her arms like she was trying to fly, then was taking her clothes off.

3:33 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 700 block of Maltman Drive reported a man asleep in the bed of a work truck; he was moving on.

4:34 p.m. — A caller from Brunswick and Old Tunnel roads reported a man in a homeless camp starting a fire; nothing was located.

4:41 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Normandy Court reported the theft of a garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle.

4:49 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man walking with a bow and arrow.

5:31 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Kate Hayes Street reported finding a person sleeping underneath a residence.

5:37 p.m. — A person was cited on suspicion of shoplifting in the 100 block of West McKnight Way.

7:22 p.m. — A caller from the 700 block of South Auburn Street reported a man with a small open knife in his hand, who ran when confronted. He could not be located.

7:47 p.m. — A caller from Arcadia and Cypress Hill drives reported a non-street legal quad driving very fast in the area, which was an ongoing issue.

8:17 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Mill Street reported slipping and falling due to a motor oil spill caused by people working on a vehicle. A man had covered it with dirt and was cleaning up before he left.

9:49 p.m. — The White Ninja was advised against sleeping in front of a building; he would not speak to an officer and it appeared he thinks he’s mute now.

11:51 p.m. — A caller from the business in the 1800 block of East Main Street reported a drunken driver at the drive-through, crashing into the building. A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

4:04 a.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a shoplifter.

8:38 a.m. — A caller from Cerrito Road reported vandalism to a community mailbox.

10:20 a.m. — A caller from Champion and Newtown roads reported possible drug activity; an area check was conducted.

10:54 a.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Banner Quaker Hill Road reported his truck had been vandalized.

11:11 a.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Nishinam Gulch Road reported his alpacas got out and he didn’t know where they went.

11:31 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Jones Bar Road reported suspicious activity with loud music last night.

1:01 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Tall Oak Place reported a dog attack.

2 p.m. — A caller from Fagerlie Road reported trespassing, vandalism and an unauthorized marijuana grow.

2:43 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 25000 block of North Bloomfield-Graniteville Road reported a burglary with someone breaking into a lodge and stealing food, gas, and tools.

3:15 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Carwright Way reported a theft and vandalism.

3:15 p.m. — A caller from the 15000 block of Washington Road reported credit card fraud.

4:07 p.m. — A man called to try and get the phone number for his doctor; when asked if he had an emergency, he said, “I don’t know because I can’t get ahold of my doctor,” then disconnected.

4:48 p.m. — A caller from Orion Way and McCourtney Road reported someone “going crazy with a shovel.” A report was taken.

5:01 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported a drunken person left in a vehicle at high speed with a child inside.

6:14 p.m. — A woman from the 14000 block of Del Ta Don reported a neighbor pulled and threw cactus at her gate.

6:50 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported two people going through garbage who became confrontational when asked to lave.

6:50 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Bell Road reported an overturned vehicle.

11:08 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Argall Way reported a locked vehicle had been broken into and a motorcycle helmet, jacket and other items were taken.

3:03 p.m. — A caller reported a possible embezzlement by an employee.

3:25 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Main Street reported thefts from unlocked vehicles.
