Police blotter: Caller concerned about intestine theft

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:51 a.m. — A caller from a business in the 300 block of West Main Street reported the theft of a silver collapsible bicycle.



8:35 a.m. — A caller from Whiting and LeDuc streets reported transients had set up a log house on a vacant wooded lot.

10:04 a.m. — A caller from Dow Alexander Park reported finding ammunition.




10:13 a.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Sierra College Drive reported a Honda crashed into barriers in front of a building.

11:39 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported a student with marijuana on campus; the juvenile was cited.

12:30 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported a man yelling racial slurs; he was arrested on suspicion of violating probation.

1:33 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 1200 block of East Main Street reported finding a package of marijuana.

1:45 p.m. — A wrong-way driver on Tinloy and Bennett streets was turned around.

2:31 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Clark Street reported the theft of a compressor from a garage.

5:03 p.m. — A caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported the theft of propane tanks.

5:06 p.m. — A man from the 1800 block of East Main Street reported a man pulled a knife on him; he could not be located.

5:15 p.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Conaway Avenue reported someone has been sitting on the chairs on her front porch.

5:50 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street wanted to know if it’s possible for someone to steal part of someone else’s intestine.

6:38 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a physical fight involving two men in the parking lot.

10:10 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of South Auburn Street reported vehicles spinning Brodies in the parking lot; they could not be located.

10:48 p.m. — A man from the 800 block of Old Tunnel Road reported two men threatened to stab him. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Monday

9:18 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of North Ponderosa Way reported an attempted burglary.

11:11 a.m. — A caller from a person trying to break into a residence, who had hopped over a fence and was trying to get in through the back door. He was given a ride.

11:24 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Cavitt Lane reported a fawn caught in a barbed wire fence.

11:38 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of North Bloomfield-Graniteville Road reported illegal grading on private property.

11:51 a.m. — A caller from the 18000 block of Chickadee Court reported a suspicious person asking for money to great the caller’s grandson out of jail.

12:26 p.m. — A caller from the 19000 block of Cerrito Road reported an attempted residential burglary. No attempt was found, it had been caused by a dog.

1:58 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of School Street requested a welfare check on two neglected horses; a report was taken.

3:51 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive reported receiving a call from two people who said they had kidnapped the caller’s child and were demanding money.

5:35 p.m. — A caller from Jones Ridge and Greenhorn roads reported a truck with a trailer filled with marijuana would be driving down Greenhorn.

6:09 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Copper Drive reported a possible chimney fire.

6:13 p.m. — A woman from the 15000 block of Airport Road reported finding a cell phone in her unlocked vehicle that does not belong to her.

6:42 p.m. — A caller from the hospital reported a juvenile assault victim from Ridge Road. The juvenile refused to file a report.

9:01 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 12000 block of Highway 49 reported chasing tow people off the lot; an area check was requested.

Tuesday

3:55 a.m. — A caller from Dolores Drive and Alta Street reported a man on a bicycle possibly casing the area. He was arrested on suspicion of a warrant and possessing a controlled substance, as well as being under the influence of a controlled substance.

6:35 a.m. — A woman from Adam Avenue reported a man was on meth and threatened to kill her. He was arrested on several outstanding warrants.

Monday

8:41 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Sacramento Street reported finding a sunglass case with drug paraphernalia.

11:53 a.m. — A caller from Pioneer Park reported juveniles doing drugs at the picnic tables; no one was located.

9:13 p.m. — A caller from Zion Street and Doane Road reported a man pulling down his pants and mooning people in the middle of the street. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

10:36 p.m. — A caller from the post office reported a transient sleeping on the floor, who was moving on.
